Conan the Barbarian Soundtrack.... i was blown away as a Kid. Then i got the game and... it REALLY shapes your personality straight into the right direction. You learn how to fight, how to stand up for yourself and others, and how to be a true, selfless hero. Absolute cultural asset.

From viewing this trailer it does seem to hint what the original story was going to be before they came up with the twilight and shadow theme like a monster army tries to invade Hyrule and Link immediately comes to save the day sword in hand. Even to this day I still wondered what the original story for the game was to be before the final version of the game was released it's still a mystery?

From what I've read they wanted to make the game much more open, with seamless transition between environments, but they struggled with that at the time. Them about 10 years later Nintendo was finally able to do it, probably with help form the Monolith Soft guys.

Little late lol, but you can actually see an early version of the Twilight Beast at 0:43 (when Link does the spin attack). So maybe the story always involved the Twilight, but this trailer decided to not show it

Speaking of _Conan,_ did anybody else notice that the Fused Shadow looks a _lot_ like Thulsa Doom's helmet? I would think it was a coincidence, but judging from the music in this trailer, someone at Nintendo was clearly well aware of the film.

The first time they used this music was for Ocarina of Time when it was releasing in the 90's, which might mean they were drawing inspiration from Conan much earlier.

However, the trailer says "But as the light fades, will the hero riase again or will darkness reign?" which already implies the Twilight/Light worlds duality. Probably just the former regular enemies were recast as twilight denizens, with the twilight portal enemies beong originally someone else (or portals not being guarded at all), but the text in the teaser does indeed refer to the game's plot.

I really wish they'd put more thought into progression with Wolf Link, he feels really tacked on and doesn't get any new abilities. Imagine if you cleared the Twilight from Zora's Domain and you get the ability to swim underwater as Wolf Link, just as an example.

I really wish we got another game like Twilight Princess. This, Wind Waker, and A Link to The Past are my favorites. We got games that are similar to WW and ALttP, but we never got another game like Twilight Princess. 😞 The newest game that came out is cool and all, but there's really nothing like a classic Zelda game. Tears of the Kingdom and Breathe of the Wild just don't fill that role.

I wish the open vast fields and big forests were actually part of the game. The games environment is great but it’s a little too linear, especially in the beginning of the game when you haven’t cleared Hyrule from the twilight.

@Varafindon Think about the pattern of the major installments. OoC was light (or dark, depending on opinion), MM was dark, WW was light, TP was dark, and SS will be light. There has to be a balance. Also consider: at the rate things are going, the next Zelda title will most likely be on a future console. If the pattern is true.... then in a couple more years, you'll have your gorgeous, ideal game - which will most likely be on a godly Nintendo system.

@zingote exactly, that was messed up... guess they ran out of idea, magic armor(at least make it use some sort of magic power gauge just for it or something intersting). When i first saw it was using rupees I took it off right away and never used it afterward, didn't felt like you needed it, the game was just to easy to be in a near-death situation. I hope skyward sword will be better directed and get back to the old feeling of achievement when you complete a zelda game.

@Atstyle While I did really like tp, I do agree it was quite disappointing in the side quest department, especially the magic armor quest which i think is one of the dumbest quests ever. I mean you spend money to build a bridge, then more to get malo Mart to expand, then you need a lot of rupees to buy the magic armor and once you finally equip it it starts wasting rupees. Spend rupees to get an item that spends rupees.

Technology has changed so much, I mean, I just finished Zelda - Ocarina of Time on my computer and the first time I played this game it was 10 years ago and then when I see the latest Zelda release on the Wii, the difference is just huge! I am nostalgic and I'm missing out!

its not totally different because the graphics atleast for me looks exactly the same. the locations are the same minus the forest and the part where link fights an army of bulbins kinda happened. its not totally different the only differences are superficial and the game turned out awesome so why complain?

Oh shit. I noticed that too while rewatching the teaser this time but kinda figured I just wasn't paying close enough attention. But that's interesting though. I suppose they hadn't finished recording Link's "dialogue" by the time the teaser was released.

Here's out I reacted the first time: :04 - Wow, that looks nice. :17 - Holy Hell, that's awesome! :29 - *explodes* And then I was too busy needing a new pair of pants to pay real attention, so I had to watch it a second time. I didn't know it was Zelda. A friend showed me the trailer without saying what it was and making sure I couldn't see the title. It was awesome.

I loved Skyward Sword, it's artstyle is awesome and the gameplay makes me drool. But...the trailer just didn't have that "epic" fell like this one does. Though I liked the Links running along at the opening as well as the close ups of Link shooting his bow and slingshot as well as when he jumped off the cliff.

Guys, A trailer can be easily made to look epic and this one was clearly Lord Of The Rings inspired, but consider this, Twilight Princess, as good a game as it was, isn't generally considered one of the better zelda games, and if you watch any crappy movie then watch the trailer you will find that the the 2 minute trailer looks 10 times better than the movie itself, I just don't think Nintendo were going with that approach with Skyward Sword, they will let the gameplay do the jaw dropping !
