I have this watch on right now. I bought it at the store and it was not expensive. I just put a new 2016 battery in as the light was not visible (after about 5 years of use) and now it glows! I have a 6.5 inch wrist and this watch is perfect. So many of the later Gshocks are too big for my wrist but this one is perfect and extremely comfortable. One of the best watches ever made. Iconic.
This is really highly impressive, not just the watch, but the video itself like you said. I subscribed it just from this one video from how excellent it was put together.
For most people, even a $20 Casio watch will last many years. So I can only imagine how durable a G-Shock is. I've never owned one, but have always wanted one.

In the place I am living now, G-Shock is perceived as “teenager’s watch” because it was associated with skateboarder, athlete, adventurer, you name it. Well, we have G-Shock manufacturing plants here so they’re everywhere to begin with. Too bad people here treated them like a delicate pieces, I even saw many took them off when washing hands or in rain. There was a time I jump into the pool with my DW5600 and my friends just asked “Won’t that break your watch?” or something my dude just screams “Oh no, I banged my G-Shock on the pole, did I break it” I was just like “relax, it’s made for it” then tossed mine on the ground.
This watch actually holds the Guinness Book of World Records for being the toughest watch. Look it up. Edit: I must give you some kudos because the editing job and the delivery of this entire video? It is spot on. They should hire you or you should actually be some dude who makes commercials for real. I’m actually gonna subscribe because of how impressed I was with the video itself, not to mention, I love the watch, and have one myself 😂

@@jaylils I have personally never had any issues w. the buttons. Yeah, the "edit" button is slightly harder to press, but it is purposely built like that to hinder accidental pressing. Excuse my language, but what type of b**ch fingers are struggling? 😂

Wouldn’t hurt to mention how hard it is to push the adjust button. I literally had to return mine because I couldn’t even actuate the adjust pusher when taking off the watch, let alone while it’s on my wrist.
I got it about 10 days ago and since that moment I have been blown away by it. I recently entered the "watch world" (this is my 3rd watch) and I am really happy. I just saw that there is this model that is "tough solar", so I am unsure if the only difference is just the removable battery and battery only or is there anything else? Did I make a mistake by not getting the "tough solar" version? By the way, amazing video. Thanks.

However, most people in the watch community would take automatic over solar any day of the week. Personally, I am not aware of this particular model being made in Solar though. I am pretty sure Seiko doesn't make the Slim Turtle in solar. What ref are you referring to? Either way, I don't mind solar and have had plenty in the past. Currently, I only have the speedtimer. But it is really up to you what you prefer. But in my experience, it is hard to beat the charm of a mechanical piece. Cheers! 🤗

I have a friend who has been into watches for 30 years (since he was born) thanks to his father. He told me where I can buy them as he knows legit sellers that aren't selling fake watches. I got three watches from this fella. The one I got is the one I mentioned above, but then I one that looks the same and it is called "CASIO G-shock G-5600UE-1 Solar". I was asking about that one thinking maybe the solar version was better. But if you say that the one I already got is good - that's fine with me. Also, you got a new subscriber. Nice profile picture. Hi, I like this watch as it has a bluish backlight compared to the solar version d5600 which has a white backlight.. But I have a question does the light turn on automatically like in the solar version ??. It a very useful feature to read time at dark without pressing the light switch.

I'm a little bit dissapointed with dw-5600. Angles of view are horrible. I have a few more cheap casios (a158, f91, w59, ae1200 etc.) and none of them have as shitty display as that one. Actually it has readable display only if I'm looking at it at the 90°.
Very good point! It is def not the greatest display now that I think about it. But I do feel like it can be read at a larger angle than 90* though, but it really depends on light condition. Overall, I haven't noticed this as an issue myself, but very well spotted my friend! That will always be in my mind from now on, it can't be unnoticed. So thank you for that.. 😆

Personally bought the solar powered version of this watch... Utterly disappointed with brand Casio G-Shock! Just after 3 or 4 months of normal usage ( No swimming, No Diving, No Extreme water Sports, No Surfing) it developed fog and water vapour inside the glass disrupting the time view. I went to the Casio Service centre but the service center people bluntly told me that there was no option for replacement. They also shamelessly told me that their watches are water resistant and not water proof. They said they never claim that their watches are water proof in their advertising also. They simply changed some parts and dried the fog or water vapour inside AND after a few months the fog and water vapour inside the glass RETURNED. What a Waste. 👎 Had it been the case of putting the watch under extreme conditions , it is understandable, but the refusal to replace the watch under normal conditions seemed callous and unprofessional on part of Casio. Utterly disappointed by such a big brand LIKE CASIO AND G-SHOCK with big & HOLLOW claims! 😒😊
Wow, that sounds like a horrible experience! I would have thought that Casio would replace it in a heartbeat. Considering that a tough lifestyle is literally what they preach for G-shock... And 200m water resistance should not allow fug under the glass it is just not up for discussion... It is clearly a defect with the particular piece you got, cause I have never heard of anyone else experiencing issues like this with their g-shock... Sry bout this trash experience man...
@@Unlucky1776 That was a genuine Casio G-Shock watch with international warranty and Sr. Number. It had proper invoice also that was checked by the service center. It was also registered in the Casio official website. Had it been a fake watch, the Casio service center would have never accepted it in the first place.
I stole this model from Walmart. Had never seen Walmart sell any type of gshock watches before. Idk why I yanked it. Could have just bought it. Never stole anything from a store before or after that. Idk why I did it just really wanted it and was so easy to take. Feel guilty. I don’t ever steal but this watch just needed to be with me. Solid watch lmao. First place I’ve ever admitted this to.
