In 2003 Eric Esch better known as Butterbean, had his first MMA fight. His record in MMA was 17 wins and 10 losses. In this video, we will show you all of Eric’s fights in MMA, that we could find footage of. #butterbean #mma
Dudes a warrior going 17 and 10 in mma after a successful boxing career says a lot about him. Most fighters now days are so worried about their record.
Hell yeah, he took the saying “you win some, you lose some” like nobody I’ve seen before. He may have a lot of L’s, but how many fights? How many years?
Dude's heart is outstanding. True warrior. 500 years ago, he'd have been leading the charge with a claymore in one hand and a morning star in the other.
First time I saw him was in Jackass. I had to find out how good he was actually and damn this guy is a legend. He also fights in a way that is very entertaining for the viewer.
By 2009 was Eric Esch was already 43 years old he is fighting guys who are in their 20's. He is much heavier then in his 20s and 30s when he was a boxing champ. Not sure these guys would be able to beat him that easy if he was in his late 20's.
Back in the good old day where there no weight classes. It was like you fight this giant or big or smaller guy and thier advantages and disadvantages for both guys.
Always loved watching Butterbean's matches. In straight up boxing he was an incredibly powerful puncher. He would deliver massive knockout blows. It's awesome that he has such a large fan base in the 🇬🇧!!! I'm fascinated with the United Kingdom. I can't wait to visit London someday. Cheers 🍻 from Miami!
Kicking was not his style, anything other than a front kick would be fantasy, it would have power but no angle or range or speed, kicks would drain his legs quickly, would give opportunities for counters and putting him on the ground which he was never great at (unless they were squashed underneath with him), and his style was wearing down the opponent to the point he could end the fight by advancing with a neverending flurry of haymakers which his physique was suited to
It's hard to see a genuinely good guy fall like that. Size and speed, just had to cover the head better. Good share for one of my favorite people. Thx bud!
Nobody can say Eric wasn't a gamer, i hate to see him get hurt with all that weight when gravity takes charge not so easy to get up quickly, he was a TRUE American. That former WSM for many years really had some potential
He lost every fight when he was on the ground and in side control. Some damn body should have work with him on how to get out of that situation. If he goes down - it’s over !
Did you watch the video? Obviously not. Cuz he choked someone out on the ground. But im sure it was fixed like much of his fights. Happens a lot with these small organizations trying to promote a star, cuz they are so desperate for traction. Edit: just seen him win his second fight by submission. Edit: just seen him win his third fight by submission with a choke. My goodness what did you watch?
@@jaseallenson316 I’m not talking about him falling on top of someone then choking them out after they fell down. I was referring to when he went down and his opponent got side control.
He fought over 2 dozen times with a >50% win ratio, he still did great for a guy who basically only brawled. Fighters worked out his weaknesses towards the end
4:45 Can we really say he chocked him out though? The man's weight alone on top of you is enough in itself to make you choke. He definitely had him in a choke hold but I think it was much more than just that that made dude tap out.
