Thank goodness that someone has pointed 👉 out that MXR is OLD STUFF. These type of pedals CANNOT WORK plugged into loops. Electrically they were designed to go into the front of non master volume amplifiers. Most guitarists DON'T OWN old amplifiers and they SHOULD NEVER BUY mxr pedals. But most guitarists are raving lunatics and they think they're getting this old stuff to work in their PC 🙄 😒
Not all MXR pedals are old stuff. My Micro Chorus and Micro Flanger pedals work great in my amps' FX loops. But you are 100% right about the Phase 90 having been designed at a time when amps were mostly non-MV, and is a factor to consider whenever you're trying an older piece of gear. "Most guitarists DON'T OWN old amplifiers and they SHOULD NEVER BUY mxr pedals." I have multiple MXR pedals and they all work great. The Phase 90 is my only disappointment so far but I got it for free.
You failed to mention the adjustment feature is so you can match the phases in with the beats of the song. You've got to apply what you've learned and fit it in with the recording. You might find that you should have bought a 45 phase or the doubling phase pedal instead. You'll quickly realise YOU MUST BUY the whole series of pedals. You also MUST BUY multiple quantities of the whole series of phase shifting pedals. You must buy the whole set of spanners 🔧 and another set of screwdrivers 🪛 🙄 🤔 You can't just buy 1 screwdriver. So, STOP ✋️ what you're doing. Ask yourself are you REALLY committed to this brand OR are you just being a FOOL cause you've effectively just bought 1 screwdriver 🪛 out of a toolbox 🧰 of tools.
"You failed to mention the adjustment feature is so you can match the phases in with the beats of the song." Nope. This *might* be relevant in very specific cases but not for my use. "You might find that you should have bought a 45 phase or the doubling phase pedal instead." No, because I got the Phase 90 for free. "Ask yourself are you REALLY committed to this brand OR are you just being a FOOL cause you've effectively just bought 1 screwdriver 🪛 out of a toolbox 🧰 of tools." Why would a musician commit to a specific brand? Buy the gear you want regardless of the brand and that's it.
