I’m learning this picking pattern on a guitar and I thank you for teaching it to me. I’ll teach my sis, the ukulele player and off we shall go to fame and fortune
4:10 is when instruction really starts 5:20 Play-along on chords G, ‘Em, C, D11 (2 rounds each chord) 5:55 what playing it faster sounds like 6:25 Travis Picking Technique in combination with a melody
Marco, once again you have given us a true gift of your amazing ability to keep things fairly simple and straight forward yet sounding beautiful and pleasing to the ear. A rare talent for many teachers. We are blessed to have you share your knowledge and talents with us. You are a true and natural treasure to all that love music. Thank you.
Marco I just want to say you have been my inspiration for 1 year now. I absolutely love your videos and you have taught me so much on the ukulele. You are a fantastic tutor and I love learning your music. I hope you read this message.
I started learning it your way and then ended up switching and using my middle finger for the A string….I’m happy with it like that, feels more comfortable!
I really like the way you don't just switch all the way into a chord between cycles of the pattern, it appears as though you plant 1 finger then the rest on the next cycle. I could be imagining things, but that seems like a fun way to keep your picking flow without rushing your left hand.
You are a legend man. Easy to learn from you. Thankyou. I bought a Ukelele so I could play for my grandson. You are making it fun and rewarding very fast. Thanks Marco
Спасибо огромное за урок! Ваш канал-это открытие для меня! Я полюбил укулеле, по новому, еще больше, благодаря вам, хотя до этого любил её всем сердцем! Супер!
tellement joli ! Même sans comprendre la langue vous êtes un très bon professeur! Je me mets au travail de suite et j'attends la prochaine vidéo avec impatience Merci beaucoup
These lessons are so useful and motivating Marco! Thank you so much for teaching us all of this and not hiding it all behind a paywall.... We deeply appreciate it
Thank you so much for showing not only how to do the picking pattern, but also some fun ways to use it in songs!! I'm not very creative when it comes to playing around with picking/strumming patterns and found that so nice :) Great tutorial!!
Your videos have really helped me get much better, so thank you! They're the perfect level for me, challenging but not unreachable. And really beautiful as well. I appreciate it so much.
Very nice! I will pu this to good use!! Thanks for sharing! I use a couple different picking patterns but always good to learn a new one!! At least new to me!
Love this picking pattern ! Thanks a lot for your very good work ! Whether for the ukulele or guitar player community your videos are very precious and awesome =)
This was the only way I could figure out how to finger pick without my brain frying. Little did I know it was a whole method developed in the 30’s-50’s?! My phone was listening and said ahhh, here you go.
Omg I am in love with your melodies and these lessons are so inspiring and helpful! ❤ even my cheap rudimentary uke is starting to sound like a real instrument :). Once I learn more melodies to try, will my a better ukulele. Thank you Marco! 💗🎸
Question: if I play your melodies in some youtube videos (doing a 30-day ukulele & guitar challenge :), does it mean the videos will be banned by youtube? Is there a way to get a license? My channel is very new but I plan to keep learning from your channels :) and also got a guitar course.
Marco for the win! I’ve learned more in 3 videos that I did after my first 3 months of owning a Uke. Thanks for the great teaching aids. Are you on Patreon? And do you teach Guitar as well (I suck at that too lol)
As said before many times here this again was a great lesson. I already know the Travis Picking but how much the melody adds to this sound is new to me. And these are the things that make you different from many other teachers. Thank you so much, Marco. By the way, is this out of your fingerstyle course?
Look up the video "Mississippi John Hurt - You Got To Walk That Lonesome Valley (Live)" here on RU-vid to see an interesting technique. It's guitar, but variation of this.
