These guys have been my favorite band for 6 years or more now. They never disappoint! Other than The Beatles, I've never been more giddy or euphoric about the output of any band. They are brilliant.. And if you don't know about their father's musical history, check it out. I love his material. Ronnie D'Addario.

I swore that was a diminished chord, but could never figure out which it was! They use one in "My Golden Years" too!

I like the opening A to Amaj7. Major 7th chords are haunting and emotional. My favorite.

Yes! It does have an XTC power pop à la “Oranges & Lemons” vibe to it

@@MrZevers I went through all music, a lot of the people I thought were contemporary weren't so I'm judging "new" to be they started in the past ten years or so/ they got popular in the last ten years. * Liana Flores * Weyes Blood * Lemon Twigs * Thundercat * Hillbilly Moon Explosion * How to Destroy Angels (but Trent Rezonor himselfs not contemporary) * Death Grips (I think) * Charles Bradely (Rip) * Linken Park (Rip) * Susanne Abbuel (relatively recent so wtf not I'll count her) * Tim Heidecker (and his one good album lol) *Okay Kaya * Jack Stauber (I'm starting to like him less and less but that's mostly due to pier pressure from my girlfriend who hates his ass) * Drug Dealer * Marty O'Donnell * The Blasting Company * Azam Ali ( I count her) Ok so maybe that's more than five but some of these people don't even match my own definition of Modern and some are straight up dead I'm not too choked up on my hyperbole. Check any of them out If you haven't heard of them, but most of my favorite artists are either dead or geriatric. But I don't really mind, there's no better time to live to listen to music than today, the internet has made music far more accessible so I'm just cruising.
