Disclaimer: This was a sponsored stream and they did let me keep the unit, however this does not change the way i think about the board or alter my thoughts in anyway.
The Leo80 is priced well in the mid 100 - 200 dollar range.
Visually it's simple and straight forward. It's solid without the need for many tweaks or mods since it does come with a force-break mod preinstalled and I'd say the standard suite of stuff inside a board. I wasn't a big fan of the switches sent over as they were a bit to plasticy and bright for my taste but after sampling some switches I am use to in the board, I can confidently say it sounded great. I also didn't care for the badge, but we don't have to use it.
After trying it off and on for a few days, I still think this fights in nicely with the NEO80 and Luminkey80, however I still will give the edge to the Luminkey for my preference sound wise and visually.
Overall it's a nice addition to the 100-200 dollar price point line up, but I do think vendors and designers should explore some other options into making their products really stand out. To me, this is where the NEO80 and the team behind it shine.

Hey all, as usual I try to give more of my thoughts in the description of the youtube video after I get to use these boards for a few days! To sum that up though After playing around with it for a few days, I think it fits nicely alongside the NEO80 and Luminkey80, but I still prefer the Luminkey for both sound and looks. It's a good addition to the 100-200 dollar range, but I think designers could spice things up a bit more. The NEO80 and its crew, in my book, really nail that standout factor and do a great job pushing the envelope.

Hopefully this time whatever issues they had with the production of cycle7 was already fixed... Imagine that board started gb around june last year and until now they are still working on fulfillment 😅

@@neraida0705 it common for group buys to have delays, also they offered free 110 vertex v1 switches if they can't deliver by Chinese new year. I don't think any group buy I have joined didn't have delays but never offered anything if delayed. Its part of the hobby.

It totally makes sense to stick to a smaller selection of switches, it brings a bit of consistency to the review process. Sure, I am a Bsun enjoyer but knowing the general tendency of the switches that Alex uses helps give a better idea of it's general sound profile.

I feel like the fixed bottom row with the 6u spacebar is a bizarre choice considering WKL is an option. Never seen that before, and just looks off to me personally. Neo80 would probably still be my first choice in this range of board

This board is the same internals as the Cidoo V87 and Typone S87 (and GMK87, sort-of), I believe all manufactured by Zuoya (maker of a huge array of budget boards). Chosfox did a similar thing previously with their CF81, which was Cidoo V75 and Zuoya LMK81. You can see F13 has the holes to mount a knob, and it has the pads for RGBs under the navs from the V87/S87. You can get a matching gasket/wireless numpad in white under the name Zuoya LMK21. The "White Fox" switches are made by Haimu, and seem very similar if not identical recolors to the "Matte" switches that come stock in Cidoo aluminum boards.
