EternalLoveBliss. Not easy is it? When we are here to experience self. What it feels like to be separate. We do that. And than told to be one. And than that is wrong also. So what are we after exactly? Light or dark or none of the above? Or is it just an endless cycle like the seasons. One after another. And we are just here to participate? Gosh. I love this . I'm so sick of seperating good and evil. Seeing the evil as unworthy of love and attention and banishing it into jails, asylums and the sub conscious. I'm sick of suffering due to the battle between the two. It's time we took each as a part of ourselves. Its time to integrate.

Apurva Deshpande if the majority in power loved murder, and the majority liked murder. Murder would be taught and seen as good and not bad. Good and bad are two separate parts of a whole and a lot of it is subjective. Just be true to yourself and do what makes you happy. You have one life on this planet so don't live unhappily because of standards set by others. That's what I think at least.

Teal. I appreciate you speaking of ego integration instead of making the ego “bad”, disowning or suppressing it. The ego is a vital part of us and we need it to be happy & whole individuals. Jungianism includes the integration of all aspects of our psyche- persona, shadow, anima, animus, with the ego. Carl Jung called it the process of individuation- (not “individualism”) which we are doing all of our lives. It’s not the same as enlightenment. It is about creating Wholeness which the psyche is always seeking to manifest in us.

Thank you, Teal. For 2 years you have been a remembrance of human potential. Thank you for explaining and guiding our thoughts through the labyrinth of ourselves. One practice I have found that is very good for me is to not label anything. Just take everything as a fluid, as a whole. As you name something that becomes separate from the unity. If you can go back and forth of labeling and not labeling the perception of separation between I and the other become flexible, becomes more and more of a blurred line. As you become more conscious about this and more proficient you no longer distinguish your pain from the others.

Amazing words. Very understanding. I have been following a Luciferian path for a long time. But somehow I always find myself loving and caring of others around me. I’ve committed an uncountable amount of sins. But never I intended evil upon them. I am trying to become a better person in order to create harmony within my life. It’s been rough. I’ve been trough a lot of pain since I was a child. And that’s something I still don’t understand. Thank you

As a non-fundamentalist Christian, I actually enjoy this talk. I believe the Gospel story, though I believe that the Bible often uses myth, allegory, poetry, etc. to express religious truths. Many of my fellow Episcopalians think of the Devil as the "shadow-self." God knows, the ego is dangerous.

I did that a few months ago. I started to integrate my shadows and EGO was one of those . Egoistic wants and needs,attitudes ,cravings etc.. I made my Ego my friend not enemy and you know what? It feels good and my life actually improved. Cool topic.

@@mattis1389 No, it does not. There is also a very simple reason for this: The acting person who wants to love and integrate is what prevents oneness. The "I" is a subject that logically can never "be" oneness. The "I" never experiences its own absence!

I knew it! I was studying spirituality, for many years, and always had the belief that the Ego is serving us, like a "good dog we own". Protecting and being a great friend. But if we are not training it, it can take controll and create chaos, in several ways. In order to train it, we have to understand it first. Now, Teal explained it much better. They are related but not the same thing! Ego is all about separation and the individuality, whereas your shadow is just your subconscious self that you aren’t aware of (both “good” and “bad” aspects). Your shadow may contain your desire for individuality/ego if you were raised in a family that requires you to fill a role they have determined; whereas it can also contain your desire for Oneness/unity if you are raised in a family where it is every man for himself! Your ego can be in the shadow but it isn’t the only thing there! It plays into the whole “integration” she talks about

interesting concept . This is my perception of Ego. I hope you don't mind me sharing it . Ego does not want to integrate but is quite happy to make you believe it does. It is the integration you speak about that has us in this situation we are in . It's like making a deal with the devil and trusting him to do the right thing. Undoing the ego is the way to go . No need for war or pretending to be an angel . All that's needed is knowing we are not ego in any way . Ego does not exist in the Creators world as it represents separation. There is no separation in God's world and will never be. There is no Judgement either . Ego came into existence when we separated ourselves from our Creator. Guilt followed and we have being punishing ourselves since Understanding what happened and how the Ego came into existence is the place to begin. When we know this we can begin to heal this misunderstanding and come home. The ego is not our home and never will be . See it as a place of everything our home is not . Ego is our own personal lesson of what creation is not. The whole point of this is leaving the ego and becoming one with God . God our father never left us . He calls us all the time. He is waiting for our return and will wait till the end of time for his children. We are afraid and feel guilty of the separation but he does not feel the same . We are perfect to him as he created us that way. We are but asleep and having a dream of separation. He is waiting for us to awaken and leave that place. It is full of everything heaven is not . There is Death and destruction there . We are suspended in time . There is a beginning and end in this place . It is but a blip in eternity and we will eventually wake up and be with him again . When we awaken we will see that we are perfect and have done no wrong . That all that happened was but a dream about separation and how it cannot exist in eternity. A dream of many dreams to understand eternity fully. It is but one lesson in the understanding of eternity. To understand eternity is to dream of each lesson on eternity for eternity in the safety of Eternity .

This is really important for me to hear. I am new to my spiritual journey, and for all of it I believed that I needed to “kill” my ego and thought enlightenment was a result of ego death. Now I understand why it feels so shaky and unreliable when I am rejecting and denying my ego. I thought I was becoming more zen, but now realize that was a mental sleight of hand to make me think I am so “good”, spiritual, and above it all.

I lived with a tribe that said the ego was not real and every time they didn't like anyone's actions they would shame the person and say they were egotistical. They really denied that side and I couldn't make sense of that, so I left them.

The mistake with this approach is the same one Teal Swan makes: The ego within the ego cannot be abandoned (or completed). The whole person must be let go. I thought I was the only one among all my friends and acquaintances who speak and seek enlightenment, who actually had to face my darkest demons face-on and understand that I won’t be able to uproot them. So I decided to make my demons my friends. I am no longer ashamed of having an ego and yet I try to dance this delicate dance of satisfying my ego without hurting anyone. It’s pretty hard though. I’ve been facing self questioning on such regards for over an year now (never been a Christian, but born out of Christian society with very deeply entrenched subconscious mind on this matter) and finding your affirmation in this video so much in alignment with my findings through “reverse meditation” (letting thoughts flow freely through drug induced non-paranoid psychosis) is pretty much comforting.

You have so much insight and so much an attitude of preconception. What you referr to is a spiritual ego. And while its a thing that might seem as separation , it is part of the integration process. Without experiencing it you cant see through it and realize it. So you cant integrate it. Everyone is on their own path and making fun of peoples journeys is your spiritual ego disguising itself.

Perhaps this is why " Unconditional Love" appears to be so elusive, due to the perception that it is " All Inclusive ". Around and around and around we go, and where we end up.......??? Teal Swan's message is loved by many egos because it is devilish/stanic. What Teal says means that you are God. That's true from an absolute perspective, but NOT from that of a separate ego! The ego loves this, because it seeks wholeness itself, but can never be wholeness as the actual separating, discriminating, evaluating, judging. The ego and the seemingly free will must be completely let go so that something can be integrated somewhere beyond the ego at all. This should be self-evident? ❤️

EternalLoveBliss True. I have touched many beautiful and blissful aspects of reality, and done the same with a form of “essence”, “force” or “light” I discovered within myself. But I admit, I still find me being a prisoner and a scapegoat of the suppressed unconscious or parts of my “ego” that I’ve tried to negate for so long. Something still doesn’t click completely, something still feels missing... I thought for a while that the only thing I needed to do was to follow the light I found within, that it was finally my answer. And it can be a part of it, but the reality hasn’t just been that. Then I came across this concept of integration within Jungian philosophy, and it has intrigued me so much... maybe in part because in the “shadow” (the suppressed unconscious) I’ve also discovered my light! Maybe because there’s a pulse inside me that seeks further and complete exploration of my internal world... Integration. Understanding every aspect of me contains the seed of its opposite... It makes so much sense to allow everything to flow in a state of harmony, no resistance and consciousness, or “wu-wei”. It’s not about awakening “evil” or something like that for me. It’s about trying to finally find peace and acceptance of every aspect of myself, and use it all for its true purpose. Completely understanding what’s blocking me to discover my full potential and release it! But tell me, what do you think about that? It’s obvious that I need more help to find what I really need than to be right. I don’t care about being right, I care more about truth now.
