Sam really did a great job embodying Lestat. I grew up on the film n books but Sam’s representation of Lestat is as close to my minds eye view of Lestat more than anything else.

That little exchange where they talk over each other while playing chess was one of my favorite parts. It really highlighted their development. The disdain and contempt they both had. Louis tried to ignore and pacify the tension, but she pulled and played on them however she liked.
