Thanks RTINGS for reviewing the lower end TV’s , most mainstream reviewers tend to focus on the more expensive higher end units which most people aren’t able to comfortably afford, I bought the 65” LG B3 for $1299 last year and I’m still impressed every time I turn it on 😮
Yeah the pricing on this TV is for people who don't know what they're doing, they just see oled and that it's cheaper than the other oleds...generally only a bit. Yet you get the worst panels 60hz and nerfed to high heaven brightness
That's crazy! I just recently saw the C4 at Costco, and it is noticably better than the C3 in image processing and I could swear the screen is better at handling reflections. I wouldn't get a B4 when the C4 is so good.
The B4 is at 120hz. But doesnt have all the enhancement tools equipped the c4 does have. Im curious to learn more bcs the price differents are insane. Same with the c and g series compared
Just picked this up at Best buy, where they are currently cycling out the model at a $700 price reduction, literally half off. If anybody's looking to get into the OLED market with something entry level, now might be your moment!
She is pretty funny huh. Some vid a year an half ago had her saying some pun. I commented asking if that was her humor and the channel reply said yea. Just make sure you're not trying to learn what a Turnaround is over here. Keep it classy, yes?
Got mine 2 days ago. Bought it sight unseen based on positive reviews. Very impressed! 55" for $1990 AUD saving 500 compared to C4 and S90. Its a great tv. I don't feel it's lacking in brightness. Good picture straight up, no need to adjust settings. sound is ok. No buyers regrets. Thanks for the great review.
For all the people saying it is hardly “value” - yeah at the pricing it is now it isn’t compared to last years C3, but give it six months for it to take its place as the bargain model. Just look at pricing trends from LC.
Variable Refresh Rate and 4K@120 Hz with low input lag is a huge selling point for me. Also, support for Chroma 4:4:4 so if used as a monitor you don't see fuzzy text like with 4:2:0.
@rahimsvoice I usually wait until Black Friday and get the best deals. That's how I bought my 55" LC C2 OLED. Back then the B2 was only 60Hz so it wasn't even a consideration for me.
I think focusing on tint in off axis is good. I use C2 for desktop use and in uniform color (like large excel spreadsheet), I can see colors changing as it goes away from the center of the screen. Ideally a max score of 10 for viewing angles would be literally perfect visually. It would be a shame if I could see difference between a TV scoring 10 vs another scoring 10.
U guys do a great job reviewing, I watched your vids to buy my c3 65in & 48in b4. She does a great job, that other dude good too. I agree with the review, Very Helpful & Happy
Not much at all, I think the c3 is slightly brighter but there very similar, if u could get both on sale, I would go with the c3 because it’s probably cheaper, great tvs
I'm considering the 77" B4 (2024) for £1999. I bought the 65" B7 (in 2018) for the same price! Better processing, updated panel and 12" more diagonally (77" dwarfs 65", that i saw in store).
4:17 Its said that its not bright enough to display brighter highlights or very bright scenes. I didnt realize Oled werent bright enough display brighter highlights.
Sounds like an almost perfect TV... if it wasn't for the worrying green tint at an angle. What the heck, LG. Was looking at replacing my 2019 LG B9 later this year with the C4 or even this B4 until I saw the green tint issue mentioned. I like that the B4 has a higher stand profile which allows for a front placed sound bar, something I cannot do with my current B9. Oh well, guess I'll just wait for 2025's C5 or B5 then!
The S90C is better than the B4, you can learn more about the two from our comparison tool here: www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/samsung-s90c-oled-vs-lg-b4-oled/37893/49540

@@Ehrle6969 Wish I could. Though realistically they all don't look that different from each other. Think you'd be hard pressed to even tell them apart when they're next to each other in all reality. Tiny bit of brightness is the only difference worth noting. But in the UK B3 is £1570 B4 is £1900 C3 is £2200 Realistically the C3 isn't worth 40% more money. It's not 40% better. It's marginal.
After watching the video, my conclusion is diferent from Rtings. Here in Portugal, the B4 is 250-400€ cheaper than the C4 range(depending on the size). I don't see anything that would make me stretch for the C series.
Gotta disagree about the "good HDR" - 5 years ago this would've been fine but today this is not "good" HDR but just the bare mininum where your priority is contrast. For a similar price, I think this year's TCL QM851G is way better for HDR enthusiasts on a budget.
Lol...oh fomo the average person aren't looking at Spears and Munsel video content. These oleds look better than most led backlight TV's. They need to get pricing lower to give more people access.
I'll receive my B4 tomorrow, I'm really looking forward to playing the PS5 on it. It's my first OLED TV, the only thing I was a little "sad" about was the base of the TV, what would be the problem with putting the base of the C3 on the B4? It would look much better visually. 0:45 Even the B3 has a prettier base than the new B4
Anyone who is thinking about getting it, DO NOT DO IT. For being over 2k you would assume peak brightness should hit 1k nits. This tv is really dark. Stick to Samsung or Sony. The S89c has a 2nd gen QD oled panel from Samsung and is on par with flagship oleds and less than 2k for the 77”.
@@RossMKF1I’m referring to the S89c which is a 77” model that has a 2nd gen QD-oled panel and is cheaper than both the s90c and s95c but is on par with the s95c since they have the same panel. Search it up on ratings and you’ll see what I’m talking about. I’m honestly surprised the s89c is kept in the shadows when it is better than even the new mid flagships. I think the sponsors tv reviewers have won’t like it if they talk about the s89c.
The HDR brightness is what is holding the B series back. In the C series, you get a somewhat cutdown G series, but the difference between the C and B is so vast that a C2 will still outperform a B4, which is crazy in my opinion. Especially since the B4 costs more than even the C3
I need a 75-77" for a bright room. Looks like an S90C/S89C is still the way to go for saving money... A 77" B4 costs as much as 77" G3...and we know which is a LOT better at $3500.

Do it, I tried a b3 but it was so dark I thought it was broken. The b4 is not any different. I had the s90c 65 then noticed the s89c 77” has the 2nd gen qdoled panel and is cheaper than the s90c 77”. I love my s89c it’s BRIGHT and its colors are accurate. If you compare the s89c to the Sony A95L you get almost the same performance for half the price.
As the lady correctly says, just buy the vastly superior C3 for less money. I really don't understand why the B4 is running off a lower grade processor than the C3. What exactly is the improvement over the 2023 B3?
@@gurveersandhu6319 At the same screen size? Thinking in GBP (I'm British), 300 CAD is £170. For that extra , I'd have the C3. IMHO, it's worth the extra money just for the better processor and increased power from the speakers, B4 has 20W speakers, the C3 has 40W. Be careful with what you're looking at though. There are two B4 models in the UK, with slightly different model numbers. One is vastly cheaper than the other, and I don't know why. Specs seem to be identical. OLED55B42LA and OLED55B46LA.
@@AvocadoAfficionado my point is incredibly obvious. There are decent 65” OLED TVs out there from manufacturers like Samsung for £700-£1,000. £2,500 is NOT value.
Having just returned my C3 for panel failure, forgive me for not been very enthusiastic about this B4 The stand is a backwards step foe me, the B3 had a full flat one not the two ugly feet. Also the screen sizes start at 55", i want no more than 48". I am waiting for your reviews of the 2024 models with Mini-Led displays in a sensible size ie 48"
There is nuance and individuality to tv wants and needs I feel. Sometimes I wonder these cheap feature heavy tvs that they rave about will give out in 3 years or less for sure. Or look like crap. Also those tvs usually come in bigger sizes at their smallest. Also when I have more control in a bigger space I will probably get the kind of tv they want me to get anyway.i own a 50 inch set.
@@Bisaju2 The harsh reality is that there are no perfect TV's made that meet our exacting requirements. It is a case of picking the best you can afford and live with it's weakspots. In a way i was lucky that the panel failed on my C3, the remote drove me mad and the banding on dark scenes was also poor, i think the panel was suffering from a manufacturing defect, the new C4 48" models have a new upgraded panel and they needed it.
