I’m 37 and have been happily married for 6 years. I met my husband when I was 29 and he was 34. Within a couple or weeks of us dating I told him that I’m looking for a husband and that I want to have kids (I have two now) so I wasn’t going to sit around and wait forever so if he wasn’t on the same page we shouldn’t waste each others time. He was definitely caught off guard but was also impressed by my directness because he knew what to expect and what I was expecting. You have to be true to yourself because nobody else can do that for you.

I love this. I'm at a point where i am frustrated when it comes to dating. I try to date with the intention of actually getting to know each other better and eventually get married if we hit it off. But girl... i keep meeting men who just wants hook ups and situationships and nothing else. I am at my wits end and I've decided to remain single and date at a later time. Or if I meet someone great. It sucks out here. I just don't feel okay with casual sex.

It’s going to be cliche, but focus on you right now. Heal any childhood trauma or trauma period, learn your own hobbies, learn your own style. Learn you, learn what boundaries you have and don’t let people walk all over them. Remove yourself from people and situations that no longer serve you. I hope this helps💖

@@Sxlly2008it depends on what you need/want. I used to watch a lot of Dr. Ramani’s channel because she helped me understand my dysfunctional family. I also watch a lot of natural hair videos because I am a black woman, some channels that help me are Tatiana White, Coilette, Mare Meets World, and I used to watch a lot of Michelle McDaniel’s channel because I used/still struggle with bad eating habits. It’s all about what you need. I’m not sure if that helps because I’m not too sure exactly what you may need at this time, but if you want you can let me know and I can try my best to help you get there💖and I almost forgot! The Shumake way he’s a black man who I believe gives a healthy perspective about navigating the dating world as a young woman but gives it from a man’s perspective, I love love his videos from like two or three years ago and he’s married now

As you embark into womanhood you’re going to learn so much about yourself and the world period. Just be cautious. I’m not trying to scare you or make you weary. But most of us have felt this way, not all of us have dated horrible men, or men who were horrible at first and we just ignored red flags. No, some of us were cautious and still ended up in a sticky situation. Take it slow, keep your eyes and ears open, don’t give up your body before a commitment. And of course, let love in! A lot of “baby mamas” did not go out seeking to become pregnant. Any woman out here having sex could easily become a single mother. The only way to really avoid it is to wait til marriage for sex and even then, cross your fingers and hope the man does right. It’s very easy to fall into the trap because God forbid it be you one day. The whole world will look down on you whether you’re a good mother or not.

I’m 24 and yeah I be having sex buttt take all precautionary measures and threats like if a dude keep saying weird shit like they gone get you pregnant I leave. If I’m unsure just take a plan b early on (but now I’m on birth control) but if you know you not in the place to want that or with that person then do what you need to do. I have so many friends that ended up pregnant but ask if they did anything to stop it.. yeah you wanted to be this position imo

I was talking with someone about Barry Keoghan and how he is technically a baby daddy because he broke up with his girlfriend that he had a kid with. I made an offhand comment that it's a little sad because he probably wanted to be a husband not just a baby daddy but it didn't end up working out. but also congratulated him for taking responsibility and that he seemed to really love his son because his eyes glow everytime he talks about him. the person literally said that my views were "archaic". like, huh?

They don’t u derstand the psychological and emotional Responsibility of teaching and raising a freaking human being enough for them to be a good person. to them, their mothers neglected them so that’s the only style of parenting they know so they think that’s all it takes to raise a child. And they’re not introspective enough to figure out their faults and figure out their own issues so they’re perfect in their own eyes. Basically “ I was raised like this and i turned out fine.” the variables through which they make their decisions are already biased and weighted a certain way due to the environment in which they were raised and who they associate with.
