I feel like if Eri was a teen in “present day” it wouldn’t feel as emotionally impactful as if she was a child. We’ve heard about the teen having an abusive past over and over but we don’t always hear about a popular series tackling a story where it’s a child who is currently being hurt, been like that since earlier childhood and how she behaves as a result.
I think MHA is really great at showing very complex characters such as Eri and then dabi and also Endeavor. The emotional impact of each character and how they impact others, the author really knows his stuff!
ok but yall sleeping on mirio, he gave up his quirk that he trained so hard for. hes one of the big three of UA. and he did that for eri. i just cant think of how underrated mirio is

Isaac Walker I wouldn't go that far. She isn't Nanika from Hunter X Hunter. At least, Horikoshi fleshed her out with her backstory. Could it have been done better? Yeah. I have plenty of issues with the Overhaul arc and how he chose to reveal Eri's backstory was one of them. But Eri's abilities were a great way to showcase how horrifying Quirk society was and also put forth the idea of Quirk singularity how Quirks were getting stronger and stronger with each generation. Eri's being the ultimate example. And also Cultural Festival did a solid job showcasing her trauma wasn't something that couldn't be waved away quickly. Overall, she is fine.
bro eri can easily become the number 1 pro hero with her quirk like if she gets her quirk under control. If she's in battle she can rewind someone to when they where never had a quirk and then rewind them back when she catches them. But besides that SHES SO CUTE ISTG!
I think she'll be more of a medical type hero like Recovery Girl though. She'll probably take up the mantle as UA's next Recovery Girl. My guess is, after she grows up and become an adult she realizes how much UA has done for her, and she'll become a pro hero dedicated to saving lives. It'll be a form of tribute to Lemillion and Deku who both survived because of her.
@@angelosam8931 Yes! I like to think of her as the next Recovery Girl, too. She tried to be a “fighter” hero, but realized during her time at UA she didn’t like handling criminals or participating in violence. She found solace being around Recovery Girl, who knew since she was a little kid. Eri realized she wanted to be a healer, to help the heroes in need, and thank UA for all they did for her. She never left UA from her high school days to the day she retired, because it was her first and only home. It was where she found her real family and friends, and she would give up anything, even her own life, to protect it, its students, faculty and ex-members and she would never regret it.
I can’t not smile ear to ear when I see ERI. She is such a little sweetheart. And so innocent. He did really good making this character cause it makes her horrible backstory that much more sad.
You what I always thought, if Eri has the power to rewind things, then if she with all might can’t she just rewind his mark and his power back to normal?!

i mean yeah, if eri was the main then you wouldnt even know that deku could have ever been the protagonist, in fact you would probably be saying the same thing about deku if eri was the main
Yeah or break the entire series. Her quirk is to op and should not be used all the time to fix everything. Restoring Mirio quirk yes that was a good thing thag was foreshadowed ages ago but it’s risky to use her power. If she can just rewind any major changes that happen to important characters that would just be boring and bad story writing. Like people wonder if she could rewind All Might back to his glory times that would horrible for the plot and bad writing. They need to be extremely careful what they use her quirk for. Undoing something that should not be undone could have huge consequences for the series. All people can see in Eri is oh she’s so cute poor little bean! I don’t even realize she has the capability to ruin the whole series. But luckily nothing like that has happened yet I think the creator knows what he is doing thankfully not using her all the time.
@@watergirl929 Let’s say she rewinded All Might’s power. So what? He still can’t be a hero; the public saw his true form and know as a fact he can no longer fight. The symbol of peace can’t be restored, and it’d be impossible to hide him of all people. He’d be able to train the kids better at most. Even if the public was convinced he could fight, they’d just be convinced their symbol abandoned them, even if temporarily. They’d lose even more faith in the heroes.

I think we can all agree that if Eri became evil and found out that Kai somehow survived, the second she had mastered her Quirk, she'd find Kai and Rewind him right out of existence all while humming the Hurt Incantation from Tangled The Series.
Eri's never actually stated to be the grandaughter of the Hassaikai boss, fanfic authors pulled that out of a hat Edit: The boss didn't get sick, Kai used his quirk to put him in a coma because the boss wouldn't allow him to experiment on Eri
I don't really like Eri that much tbh. As much as she's adorable and all that, it's just that her story doesn't make me feel sympathy for her. Her accidently reverting her dad to the point he vanished made me feel...empty to say the least. Todoroki's and Shigaraki's back stories were the ones that made me break down crying. Todoroki being abused by his father to be a hero who surpasses almight, and shigi who accidently kills his family {minus the dad} and not being helped by anyone nor the heroes. It's just that Eri's story feels like Todoroki's and Shigi's combined with other slight changes. I'm sorry if Eri is your favorite character. It's simply how I feel.
fun fact : the muscular from mha is actually Bakugo's son who flexed so hard that he traveled back in time. He wants to kill Deku to ensure that Bakugo hooks up with and that he continues to exist.
Thank you for informating me for Eris quirk. The first time i met her was pretty cute but now that I listened to this I feel sorry for her that she had to go trough that rough past... I didnt watched anime before cus I tought it is stupid but now I am. Im watching mha from season 2 cus i couldnt find season 1 to understand most of the things but yeah I hope that Eri will grow up as strong girl and been able to control her quirk I also wish her all happy memories as happiness 😃😁 ( The reason why im saying this is because when I see something sad or something like that I start to belive theres always a hope for good things )
