The first black supermodel to have a perfume named after her and an entire couture collection dedicated to her by designer Yves Saint Laurent, who called her his African Queen. In the 80s and early 90s, she ruled the runways of Paris, Milan, and NY. She's a Somali Kenyan and the winner of Miss Kenya 1984 and one of the top 15 finalists in the Miss World 1984 competition.
