On point , 100% , got my finger bite by a 2-3lb bass for bout 5-10 seconds pulling a deep hook out with my friend. After about 2 weeks finger was 100% okay to start working out with weights. Didn't even think he was even using his full potential. Lol I'm about 6ft and 175 pounds. Worth it for my PB bass.

This is hilarious, man. I had an oscar back in the day that was kinda like this. He would eat literally anything you put in the tank...flies, worms, other fish, Doritos, wads of paper (I got him for my science class' "class pet"...lol), you name it. He'd jump out, splash water all over the wall, knock the top off the tank...even broke a few heaters. He was nuts. I got a crayfish about the size of the one you had to clean the tank, too...put a bunch of feeder fish in so he wouldn't pay so much attention to the crayfish and, yea right. Crayfish didn't last a night. lol

Moby has the genetics of an award winning Bass; he very well may be your future PB. He needs the space and constant food supply of a large, stocked pond/lake so that he can realize his potential. Just watch the predators in the water and keep them at bay as best as possible. As for Bonnie and Clyde, they are perfectly content where they're at and I find it hard to believe that they have the attitude to become 10+ pounders. I'm sure that their entire future doesn't consist of the small pond in the backyard - their time will come. Let Moby fly in the big waters like the mega bass-bird he's meant to be.

Your expierance mirrored what we had in our house. Caught a finger size Bass on a Golf course, brought him home in a styro foam coffee cup. Put him in a 55 gal tank with the tropical fish. After he ate all the tropical fish, We fed him crickets, worms, minnows, crawfish, small snake, live mice along with a salamander. The live mice were the big hit with everyone. We did the same, as you, we video taped the feedings, we simply called him "Mr Bass". He was the entertainment at every family gathering at our house. Everyone would gather around the tank to watch Mr Bass attack and devour whatever we put in there. Mr Bass was same as your Moby, an incredible eating machine. When he reached over 3 lbs he was so big he couldn't turn around in the tank , so we took him back and released him back into the golf course pond we caught him in. Golf course employees were super nice, even let us use an electric golf cart as we took Mr Bass in a large cooler back to the pond we caught him in. Happy ending. Thank you for sharing your video, brought back many memories.

Having watched and studied a good amount of your content this match was terrific on many fronts. I noticed the first legit oversight, tactically at least, I've ever noted. 7:06 and 6:29, respectively, the bubble would have been impactful in top mid. That said, it is no knock on you in any way. That's obvious, you are TOP TIER in my opinion. Interestingly enough, earlier I saw a short video about a largemouth bass, called Moby. Moby has been raised after being caught in the wild. He is a predator, he eats everything and is ultra aggressive. Bamabass - Moby - if anyone curious. You good sir, are a Moby. Straight killer who needs fed. Respect. It explains why the bubble was of no concern as mentioned. Predator mode. It all makes sense. Thanks for posting your escapades.

When I was a kid I also had a largemouth bass that I kept in an aquarium and he behaved very much like Moby. Once they get settled into their new environment they get very aggressive. If I just walked into the room he would pace back and forth, nose up to the glass ready to crush whatever I would put in there. I fed him worms, grasshoppers, small fish, even cicadas in the summertime! He wasn’t picky. Eventually I let him go back where I caught him because he was getting too big for his aquarium. Those are good memories.

Absolutely beautiful aquariums! I kept a Pumpkinseed Sunfish in an aquarium for around 6 years. He would jump out of the water for a worm as well. He would get so excited just by walking into the room! Bass arsport fish. No wonder they're such a popular sportfish.

You are truly blessed to have what you have and make time for Mother nature with your tanks and upcoming pond. That's one cool fish. I've never had the room for one although I did have a blue gill and the little turd ate they eyes of a black moor goldfish I had three time it's size. I had to turn it loose in a local pond.

Moby is so aggressive, he may be better off in the new lake, in my opinion. He will have more room to grow there. Seems he would have nearly unlimited growth potential in the larger body of water, whereas, in the backyard pond, his growth would be somewhat limited. Also, if he has the opportunity to spawn in the bigger lake, he will be furthering his aggressive genes to his offspring, resulting in a lake full of aggressive bass.
@jenson1569
@jenson1569 3 года назад
The pond won't limit his growth, the amount of food will and water quality which the pond will probably be better because of the filtration.

It's a common myth that a fish will only grow to the size allowed by their environment. In fact a fish will continue to grow and end up deformed with any number of health issues.

So cool! I love to watch fish and used to have a freshwater aquarium. Just some cichlids (Rams) and tetras, etc. from reputable pet stores. I found out I don't have a 'fish' thumb like I thought I did even though I did all the proper research. It just got to be too much for me. I came so close to buying a 75 gallon tank (the largest tank I ever owned was a 29 gallon long) but, my realistic side took over and told me not to. Love watching the pond build too!

I had a little largemouth in a 30 gallon tank for a year during a biology class in school. It was astonishing how voraciously it would consume anything that would fit in it's mouth. We fed sucker minnows and goldfish primarily, but crayfish, worms, bugs, chuncks of chicken or just about anything else we chucked in there would be savagely devoured. He'd often inhale six goldfish in rapid succession, then he'd hold a seventh goldfish in his mouth until he could choke it down about 30 minutes later. Really fun to have him. I turned him back into the pond I caught him in after the school year concluded.

I use to catch black rockfish in Alaska. Very similar to bass in how the act. This explains a lot about why there where times when the lure would hit the water and be hit before I could start reeling in.

Wouldnt be a bad idea to section a portion of the pond off with fencing and make a sanctuary area for Bonnie and Clyde to breed in. Just an idea when you build the lake so Moby can move into the backyard pond! Like if you agree👍
