@@alexisglass9959 Aang ain't Sokka. Aang has a nation to rebuild and doesn't even know what a father do so if he's a bad father I can totally see it, Sokka knows what a father must do and although he was the southern chief that isn't bigger than Aang's duties
@@santiago8991 I know Sokka isn’t aang also he was southern cheif when the were REBUILDING THE TRUST BETWEEN THE NORTH AND SOUTH plus republic city was still underway and there was a lot of crime on top that they still traveled the world
- Varrick was taken by the circus people when he was young - Suyin was a part of a circus crew after she had left Republic City - Suyin gave a refugee to Varrick in Zaofu after he'd escaped Republic City and mentioned that him and her used to be colleagues in the past. Did both of them take part in the same circus?
Some people don't seem to know this: Aang wasn't a bad dad, he just was focused on something bigger than his entire family, and because of that, he didn't have time for all his kids, but loved them regardless. TOPH is a BAD mom. She actively dismissed her rule following daughter Lin, and continuously helped Suyin get away with her rebellious behavior and troublemaking. She was a bad mother figure, which makes sense for her as a person due to her upbringing and life in general.
My issue with the Aang thing though is we never get to hear Katara’s side of the story. And she is still alive and well in Korra so there was no excuse to not have her clear the air up.
is no one going to mention how forgiving she is? She forgive her son, she forgive Kariva. She even give hope and believe the skill of Varrick who is a escapes jail mate.
Suyin did not forgive Kuvira in LoK, Bryke had to make it up in the comics years later because people complained Suyin was a hypocrite and mary sue. Even in the comics, Suyin only forgave Kuvira after Kuvira admitted she was wrong, she did not help Kuvira or properly guide her, nor acknowledge her as family. Opal was supposed to play the bad cop but the dialogue made little sense since they were effectively on the same page. Bryke are terrible at characterization.
@@Sernival not gonna lie, Suyin just drives me nuts. "Kuvira was like a daughter to me." *1 hour later* Lets commit murder. Something she never considers with Baatar. What the heck.
Yeah I’m going to have to side with Lin here, Suyin was an entitled bitch and barely suffered from any consequences for her actions because mother was soft on her. And Suyin has the nerve to act like Lin should’ve been the one more apologetic to her despite being the one who gave her permanent scars in the first place for doing her job.
Good video on Suyin. When watching the part on why she didn't accept the offer to stabilize the Earth Kingdom, I get the feeling that it may have a resemblance on why Naruto didn't help the Rain Village as he promised to Nagato during the start of the Kara arc, since it would only make the people see the 7th Hokage as a conquer & greeted with nothing but war as Suyin explained. Well I don't know about you, but what do you think?
As I watch these things, I could kinda see why ATLA was more successful. Like in ATLA, there were a slew of bad guys but the main baddie was the Fire Nation-how they wanted to conquer everything. In ALOK, there were waaaay too many antagonists! There was this mask guy who blood blends, this water guy who wanted to conquer stuff, and now this metal woman who also wanted to conquer stuff-it’s just way too much! I feel like if they could just argue on one main baddie then the series would be as great as ATLA.
Hey guys! :) I hope you are all having a good week. I will have a new vlog up tomorrow morning at 8 AM (PDT)! I just finished editing it and, honestly, I think it is my favorite vlog so far! I cannot wait to share it with you guys! :)
It's funny how Hong Li never got an apology from Suyin for being falsely accused of betraying the Metal Clan, but maybe she did apologize to him at some point offscreen!😉
Su should have turn herself over to the authorities and admit guilt for everything. Being a member of a triad, almost murdering her sister. Su should have taken responsibility for everything but she got away with everything.
Immature people hold grudges, real people forgive, but I do see your point. She should’ve admitted where wrong *Uncle Iroh Voice* “And seek to regain Honor!”
She wasn't a member of the triad, she was just an accessory. And she wasn't close to killing Lin, just scarring her. But the point of her not going to jail is to emphasize on that rehabilitation works better than punishment. Just look at Kai.
When I heard toph mention her parents, that must mean that Lao and poppy got back together after Lao changed his selfish ways. I’m guessing that after Suyin was sent to live with them, they express their disappointment to her for her reckless actions and attempt to urge her not to make the same mistakes Lao made.
Ngl suyin and lin and definitely 2 of my favorite characters in the legend of korra but i really wish when Suyin was introduced that Lin wouldn’t have acted like such a child about it lmfao
Well, maybe you should give Lin a fucking break, she was literally facially scarred by her sister, dismissed by her mother and then blamed for not getting over it. Lin basically was more of a mom than Toph and she was pubished for it.
@@alkierradavis5101 i never said she was in the wrong. Just that she acted like a child not wanting to even attempt to squash the beef between her and her sister. And the silverhollowshadow dude down here needs to chill man lol. This wasnt what this comment was meant to be lol.
I refuse to believe that suyin was really trying in this fight i doubt she wanted to hurt lin.. so for all the people who think lin wins this fight had she not had acupuncture i think thats crazy.. its acupuncture not surgery.. on top that suyin is so smooth and fluent in her bending movements while lin is smtiff and ridged
yeha suyin pretty much inherited the beifong fortunes and used it on zaofu since she lived with toph’s parents while toph hated her parents and lin stayed with toph
@@Spherrum lin stayed with toph until lin got her own place and toph only made peace with her dad, I'm pretty sure pappy or peppy whatever divorced with toph's dad
for everyone saying sokka is suyins father your saying sokkas a bad father because suyins father wasnt there for her and knowing sokka he would do anything to get involved in suyins life
Lol this came out on my Birthday. I have a few brothers and a sister and all are half related but i will never call them that as far as im concerned if you call your Brother and sister half then you don't love them or you would call them full brother and sister.
what would have happened if suyin had learned to master all the rare masteries of earthbending and also learn to master all earth control techniques and also learn to block chi and also learn to master all fighting techniques and also learn to master all styles of fighting and also learn to master all martial arts and also learn to master all weapons
you're basically just narrating the episode, which anyone can do now that korra is on netflix. you should really consider editing down to the more important parts, or adding some context/thoughts of your own
It makes me wonder how it happens that a child of an Earth Bender like Opal becomes an airbender and a child of an earth bender like Mako becomes a fire bender?
i believe opal was born a nonbender and gained airbending thru harmonic convergence. for mako, his parents were a firebender and an earthbender i think, so both bolin and mako inherited either
I loved and hated this character. Loved because she was effing badadd and quite chill, cool, and approachable. Hated because of her misdemeaning past as well as her acting like her supposed goodwill maked her inherently deserving of her sister's forgiveness.
