This song is the soundtrack to my obsession with Jeremy Klein's Hook-ups Skateboard Decks, T-Shirts, & other Bullshit. I saw them in Richmond VA in 1998. They were touring with the Teen Idols (Not the Discord Band) in a fuckin' U-Haul. Heather, the sexy bass player was absolutely filthy, they said they hadn't bathed in days & it showed.
Unfortunately the Lillingtons stuff on Clearview records is hard to get. Physical copies aren't at usual online outlets, and they aren't available digitally at all. Their entire Clearview output is on a collection called Technically Unsound. It's AMAZING, and worth your time to track down. Keep your eyes out on eBay. It's a three CD set, and new copies pop up, and they're reasonably priced. Hopefully this stuff becomes available digitally, and more readily on physical formats soon!
May '21, the album with this song, Shit out of Luck, is available on all the major digital outlets, but the band's other Clearview output is not. It's some of their very best stuff - especially their stuff from their split lp with Nothing Cool, which fans know as 'Idiot Word Search" from the words circled on the cover art, although I don't think this was the intended title.
