A month later and having heard this some numerous more times and having it still stuck in my head, I STILL think it's one of the best songs ever recorded by us humans.
When someone asks me what my definition of brilliant punk rock is (which has definetly happened at least once..) , I tell them to listen to the album "Backchannel Broadcast" by the Lillingtons, that is a perfect album in my opinion. This last record is also really really good, but much different, nothing bad with it.
In the dead of night, I'm hiding in my bed That's when the bugs come alive, creeping through my head They say it's just a dream, it's simply nothing more But now it's 2 am, I'm crawling on the floor Yeah I can feel a change, I think there's something wrong Allergic to the light, my hair grows coarse and long I'm standing in the mirror, it's all becoming clear I am the thing you fear, I'm crawling in your ear 'Cause I'm not human anymore I am the arthropod A fucking insect god I'm coming after you Your insect nightmare's coming true
Great song, GREAT record! Stelle Sapiente took a bit for me to get into but once it wormed in my ear I couldn't/can't stop listening. Saw The Lillingtons in Florida at Pre-Fest 2017 and again a few months ago in Madison, WI. Both were killer shows but the last one makes it onto the list of my all-time top ten...and I see a LOT of shows!
Goetia is totally incorrect, The Introduction to Demonic Magick is the corrected Legion Data. Praise Marchosias Praise Ga'ap Praise Furfur Praise Phenex Praise Prince Beelzebub Praise Prince Asmodeus Praise Choronzon Praise Lucifer Praise Legion The Order of Dark Arts
YES! We've been hoping for something like this! Now if you'd release the lyrics right.. stoked as fuck! Also the Goetia and Crowley references throughout the album make me happy
I always see it as being about music. Like the insect is a song...a metaphorical ear worm. Compelling him to write. Standing in the mirror as in the song reflects him and then it's created and is no longer human. Maybe I have too much time on my hands.
I may or may not be very stoned at the time but certain what I said was not what I meant on this comment to the lillingtons because they are one of the best bands in all of the world f*** the violent films they don't bring all their equipment on their bus if he even get that then all right we're good but it's all fool lala now so let's see what happens I've just been stoned chatting with my phone here Stone phone stone phone stone is the way that we rock and we do anything oh going to see Prof tomorrow night f*** yeah bro we still on this tip
Okay I wasn't that stoned I just read the whole thing after I sent it and it was funny as hell but yeah I'm a little more stone now f****** violent femmes bring all their equipment on the bus you can't f*** with the violent films you cannot f*** with this band lillingtons I actually like you little more and I feel like your cheeks would be smoother
No catchy tune, no fast guitars and drums. When they made a comeback after all this time, "Rubber Room" gave the impression that's what we'd get. This sort of stuff's not for me.
The Lillingtons make pop punk taco bell "belluminati" music videos now? I wonder if they know today, may 1st , was the opening of the one and only illuminati by Adam Weishaupt in Bavaria 1776. They had baphomet in the video, just missing the obelisks....forgot the phallic worship part i guess
