LIMBOOOOSSSS POGOOOOOOO
Alright. My bad. My baaaaad. Alright? My bad. My bad for not getting to this tape sooner, I don't really have an excuse as to why I've missed out on The Limbos for so long. That being said, the excuse I'm going with is that I'm half-brain dead and have zero retention for anything that isn't ironic pictures on the internet. Oh, and that Columbus sailed the ocean blue in 1492, I remember that pretty well.
This is The Limbos, a hardcore group coming from the crusty ass-crack of the south, Mississippi. I probably shouldn't say that, y'all gonna get feisty over that, because as far as I can tell, Mississippi punks seem pretty close-knit and probably wouldn't like me talking about their ass-crack like that. I mean, I guess they're a step up from juggalos, so good on you for keeping the punk scene afloat over yonder. Anyways, The Limbos are actually pretty damn good. I was first introduced to them when the their tape was sent to me a few months back by a guy named Hampton Martin. He's in a band or two, I think, but that's not important. I came in with low expectations and found myself to be thoroughly impressed by what these ass-crack punks have to offer. For hardcore, this music's gotta load of pep and bounce, and actually has memorable hooks within the mucusy margins of this cassette, which is something that I appreciate immensely in this subgenre. The Limbos doesn't limit itself to a belligerent pace just for the sake of being belligerent, they effortlessly include catchy riffs that I can't resist tappin' my toes to. For the entire duration of this eight-minute cassette, The Limbos grabs you by the nads and refuses to let go until you're groovin', and groovin' hard. Check these guys out if you have a complete disregard for the idea self-worth and don't mind spazzing out to those throaty vocals and meaty melodies.
On an unrelated side note, the mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell. I remember that pretty well too.
