30 years ago, I got to see the movie at Radio City Music Hall in New York. It was preceded by a brief stage show featuring Disney characters. I wish there was footage of that.

The Lion King had its world premiere at Radio City Music Hall on June 15th just 5 days before NBC's Today Show debuted Studio 1A on June 20th (Their last week in Studio 3B) and on Thursday the 24th during the debut week it went into general release. So a great month in a great year for entertainment.

I can’t believe it has been 30 years since the lion King came out. I was a big fan of the lion King growing up, especially during a time in my life were I went to the hospital a lot due to cerebral palsy and I remember when I was really obsessed with lion King I used to watch the behind-the-scenes videos of how they mean the movie because I wanna be a writer and I wanna work for Disney someday so that was my way of knowing how a movie made and I think lion King help me develop my love for animals and the environment.

I can't wait to see the cartoon version of The Lion King in theaters when it comes out this month. I love The Lion King and I was still a toddler in 94 when it first came out but I never saw it in theaters. I also love The Lion Guard and I hope it comes to theaters someday. I saw the 2019 version of the Lion King in theaters on my birthday, but, I was sad they didn't add Timon's hula dance, 😢. I remember my kindergarten teacher in 97 had The Lion King music tape and we'd listen to it at naptime. I'm watching the cartoon one right now, ah, memories, 😃❤️😍🤩.

I hope with this re-release of The Lion King that it will be the first 2D animated film to make $1 Billion at the box office. Currently the box office states it at $968 Million so it’s very close to setting another record
