Lion King feels like a congregation worshipping together in a sacred place, like a praise to life. Aladdin feels like friends gathering together on a basketball court, just having fun hyping each other up. Both vibes are immaculate.
Everyone, since at the beginning of the video it said there's a 6 hour delay due to weather. So that means literally everyone missed their plane, or rather the plane straight up never took off for 6 hours.
As someone who is in the Lion King Cast (not the Broadway, just at my local theatre), Lion King is such an ensemble heavy song, that literally every voice counts. You can tell they have that kind of unity among them when they sing, and they look like they’re having an absolute blast! It’s such an amazing show to be in, and I could not wish for a better debut show!!
@@heyjude6680 funny fact my theatre teacher always told me, there was a lead on Broadway that couldn't sing...at all, so his songs he just spoke like poetry lol
@@starsign0805 I would say "Quiet Little Village" from "The Trouble With Harry". But, nobody's ever heard of it, except for me. Along with the musical "The Boy With Green Hair", "The Trouble With Harry" is just another musical I wrote that nobody bothered taking the time to read through, or listen to the demo score. So, it sits in a pile of music I've written over the past several decades. Maybe when I'm gone, someone will discover what I left behind.
I’m in tears. I can’t explain why, but the music from the Lion King just makes me super emotional. It’s so beautiful. These incredible voices. I just get overwhelmed!!💗🥺
@@Shaw4Life oh I did the musical I was Rosie Day. It was my first ever show I was a humble little stage hand the girl who worked the ticket sells to set. The good memories
I see no harm in this, the only crime I see is the vertical recording. 10k likes? I'm very appreciative of your combined hatred toward vertical recording. Godspeed. 💛💙
This is one of the best things I have EVER watched. Wow. Circle of Life gave me goosebumps. I don’t think I’ve ever heard people sing with so much joy that you can’t help but to come away feeling it. Both groups are insanely talented, gifted, beautiful souls!
I saw the Broadway performance of the Lion King in Spring 2002. It is such a thing to witness. Such a beautiful show. The actors coming from the audience in their elaborate costumes to the stage singing. It’s a great show. Much better than the Disney cartoon which is pretty good.
That was awesome!!! Give credit to the Aladdin crew for admitting they were taking on a decade long performance....and the lion king crew was very humble as well. This is how fights should be handled, lol.
@@FragariaNoKami777 my choir HAS done something like this... We where waiting for a show to start and one of my friends started singing and everyone else in the theater moved back to let us sing. Then we realized there was another school choir so we started going back and fourth till the show started. Im just happy cause one of the categories that one of the teachers yelled out was musicals. I was like "please let me do this!" So my friends in choir let me. Me being trained in opera did phantom and the other choir looked at me like "How a 15 year old belting like that?!"
This type of camaraderie is only understood by those who have been in a theater performance. Singing together like this without an audience is truly beautiful. The people walking by the airport are so lucky.
The first song always makes me emotional, i don't know why, its just all those amaizing voices symphonising in one, like nature, it sounded like nature wild and free
This is how a LOT of music geeks are. I know my college choir did a lot of impromptu sing-offs in random fast food joints with other choirs during meets.
It sucks for Aladdin because lion king has like 5 different vocal parts and some background music while Aladdin is sometimes just music with one part vocally Edit: How did this comment blow up? Someone plz tell me.
Saw Lion King on Broadway when I was a kid and when it came time to buy a souvenir I opted for the soundtrack and my aunt questioned if I was sure I didn't want a t-shirt...to this day that timeless music brings me the purest joy!
I've seen both live and they are each amazing in their own ways. The Lion King had me crying, whereas Alladin had me laughing my butt off. Different moods, same greatness!
The lion King music, there's just something about it that touches and soothes the soul. Alladin is great too, really fun and everything. But the lion King just hits a different way that can't be explained
If someone did this all of the sudden I would legit pee my pants. It's just like: Me: sleeping in the airport waiting for my flight Then: AAAAAAAAAAAAAA SYVENIA.......
The genie has serious talent, he really went off with that rap and I love Aladdin But the lion king soundtrack just hits different, idk how to explain it but it just lifts the spirit and soothes the soul.
Not gunna lie, this is a bucket list item for me. I don't know all the words but just singing as a part of a crowd (not at a concert) completely acapella. My life would be complete.
1:07 My sisters best friend doesn’t know what to sing on this part so she sings, “pink pajamas penguins on the bottom” it has become a running joke in both our families.
Around the last day of school me and my friends are theater kids so while we were waiting to get ice cream we were just singing Hamilton songs in the line and everybody were looking at this like we were crazy 😂
Aka the best people of any school just add the choir kids who take music to the next level than you have twice the more fun. We burst into song and dance randomly its what we do
I thought they were about to bust out *_"Prince Ali"_* for a second, I was about to lose my mind lol They brought it with *_"Arabian Nights,"_* tho. Both crews uplifting my spirits _BIG TIME_ and giving me such a vibe 🤗 *_"Circle of Life,"_* and their second one, was just insane ❤️🙏🏾🌍🙏🏾❤️
Perosn gets home after delayed flight and friend says "I got tickets for the opening night of the lion King" "It's OK I've already seen it!" "How it's opening night?" "I saw it at the airport!" 0_0
The who soundtrack is just amazing. I know every song from the movie because my youngest watched it at least once every day for two years. 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️😂😂😂🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
They are so awesome for doing this. They are not being paid. They are traveling. They are probably tired. They already sing this many times a day. But they were kind enough to do it. They rock!!!!!!!😍😍😍😍
Theater people do this kind of shnanigans for fun.... I mean basically you have your whole cast and you are stuck in one spot for hours because of a plain delay so you got to do something to keep yourself entertained. So why not start singing together to make everyones day little better and pass some time. Also free advertisement for the show.
@@debvalentine1480 Nope. I didn't. I assume you're not a performer. Most performers love what they do. No one is going to pass up an opportunity to have fun like this even when he or she is tired. Even when he or she already performed many other times in the day. This is love for your own craft. Doing anyone else a favor or getting paid for what you do is just a bonus.
As someone who had been stuck in an unreal number of airports over the course of my life... This would've brightened up any number of flight cancelations or lost luggage 👌🏻
You'd do it too if you were part of the cast. If you are in the airport for few hours with nothing to do you got to get creative to keep yourself from going crazy.
If I was there I would cry. The passion and energy in that room would be insane🥺❤ Like, this is why I love Disney movies. No matter where, or how old you are, it connects the child in soooo many people❤ Its one of the rare things that almost everyone can agree on and come together for🙏🏻 I hope times like this will come again soon.
When the Aladdin Cast says they improv everything and the Lion King cast are a well oiled machine...all I see is insanely talented people having fun when they are tired and wanting to go home! Have fun wherever you are! Make the most of it and magic like this happens! Xo
Funny story I once met a band of gypsies playing their Spanish guitars. They started playing. I joined in the fun and started dancing. We got a crowd and some little girls joined in the fun.💃
@@rockrhymrr lmao no really tho. They sound amazing and all but I am not trying to listen to a rapping genie and the animal kingdom for my entire flight
My siblings and me coming together when the WiFi is down...😂👀👀 Literally, the cameras come out, props magically form... Before we know it, we're singing, dancing, chanting and ish😂😂. Don't even get me started on Disney songs.💁🏽♀️🙈 Ty so much for the likes guys! You lot get it!!😅😂😂
@@gloriouslyimperfect and it sounds to me like the first part of his rap was to the tune of carla and daniela's part in 96,000 from in the heights, another lmm musical
OMG sitting here exactly at 4:00 p.m. August 14th 2020 and this just gave me life and lifted my lonely spirits. Thank you Jesus for the sound of music and camaraderie
The cast of Lion King clearly won this sing off, but the rap from the "genie" was off the chain. Both cast are very talented. I wish I was there to witness this first hand. #Disney
I liked the Aladdin cast better. The genie had more style and personality. The Lion King cast drowned out the main singer in the circle of life as well. I liked the background singers in that, but I prefer strong vocals, and she was much too quiet and her voice was rather husky. Plus Aladdin gets bonus points for their originality in Genie’s rap. The Lion King cast just did what they have done 1000 times in rehearsals, at least Aladdin came up with something new (and on the spot no less). Lion King has a bunch of cool background music that is sung throughout the show, unlike Aladdin. Which is why at the end of the day Aladdin gets my vote to win. But they were both awesome 😊
Wow, Wow, Wow!! I got chills!! Incredible. What are the odds that this could happen. Listening to hear two soldout Broadway show casts sing live for free? I'm grateful but imagine Hamilton and Lion King. I wouldn't have wanted to board the plane.
I can't even imagine how many vocal cords were blown out after this. So glad the lady portraying Rafiki kept a normal volume. If I were her I'd be screaming my lungs out 😂 also props to the Aladdin cast for that BOMB ASS IMPROV CUZ DAYUMMM
@@spicyflour7468 He is James Monroe Iglehart, his first musical was Music Machine at church. James also is featured on Kimby Schmidt as the nemesis to Titus Andromadon . I think he is in the cast of Hamilton currently on Broadway.but I am 🤔 sure. He is 46 and performs with the energy of a teenager!
