The only certain thing about Greece is uncertainty. Greece is one of the most beautiful countries in the world and you can enjoy it as long as you DO NOT work there or have any business dealings in the country. The Greek bureaucracy is like an octopus with never-ending tentacles, once you are in its grip, it will never let you go!
@@pinetworkminer8377 I'm not sure about Turkey tbh. In my view it has a substantial country risk due to being ruled by a dictator. Greece on the other hand is finally sort of trying to liberate its economy a little bit and it has probably hit rock bottom as an economy so it can only go up from here. Let's see what happens though
Greece has a golden visa for 500,000 EUR for Athens and Thessaloniki and a few other places (!) but the rest of the country remains at 250,000 EUR. There are still options at 250,000 EUR, thankfully.
What would happen for example if for the first 5years it's great tax incentive to pay the 100 000eur. But then it no longer is viable. Will the money made in the previous 5years all of a sudden not be protected/becomes taxable? If you opt out the 15 year cycle?
What about the 7 percent on foreign sourced income? Have a company in estonia and pay the 20 percent there and spend the money in greece, and pay the 7 percent in greece (foreign sourced income) and get a good deal on an appartment buy it for 10k -30k, register the address with the greek police alien department, and get a residence permit that way, with my dutch passport and move my PE to greece? What do you think?
I'm confused. Setup your company outside of Greece but live in Greece for the tax loop. Where are you setting up that company and won't that country require you to pay taxes (separate from the 5% loop hole)
@@CarstenBachmeyerHealth the health test didn't bother me. The fact that you can go straight to prison for having a boyfriend is a huge problem especially if you live there long term. The fact that if you are raped and report it to the police you'll go to prison asap for "sex outside the marriage"... So many reasons to never go there ... Ever...
Greece is a basket case same as the rest of Europe, just get yourself to the Caribbean and pay zero tax, the Greek islands are not that great and the mainland ( apart from the north ) is dreadful, borderline 3rd world.
