A nice long vintage fairy tale bedtime story for adults! Best enjoyed while wearing ear phones. This relaxing storytelling narrated by female voice is produced for sleep and relaxation. This bedtime story can be used by grown ups at the end of the day to help relax and unwind before bed. Be lulled into deep relaxation and sleep as you listen to the classic story of The Little Mermaid. Hi.... I just found your life changing videos. I have suffered for 4 years with insomnia I also have been diagnosed with bipolar disorder so I can easily go 5 straight days with out getting any sleep. Medication really doesn't help me but I tried 2 nights ago and the first night I fell asleep with minutes so then anytime I woke up I would just start it over again and I slept more in one night than I usually do in a week I had the same excellent results last night. I can thank you enough❤🤗

I had to take meds to put me to sleep every nite & still I’d wake up several times during the nite & have difficulties falling back to sleep....&, I aways had morning grogginess... which isn’t pleasant. Now, after listening to ur soothing voice, I’m instead, lulled to sleep, & I can’t tell u how much this has improved my quality of life during the daytime! No pill taken internally can possibly compare to the feelings of peace & relaxation I feel listening to the soothing words spoken in this story, as I soon drift off to sleep. I’ve never slept this good b4! If only I’d known about this sooner. The quality of our sleep is SO very important to our physical well being. Thank u SO VERY MUCH for helping improve MY quality of sleep. I sure hope u continue reading lovely stories like this! 👍

Ohh this is the adult soothing no holding back version of little mermaid huh Mom? 😄💙💫🌊 Joanne i really dig that magical flowy sea with the girl in the background. I think she's eyeing me lol. Also the bubbly water sounds i occasionally hear is sweet. I love this version of the story. It's cool to have an alternative what if ending & it's meant to entertain not to be taking super serious. The main female character was very bold to step out on family tradition like that lol. Mom you always tell the best stories & here you didn't disappoint. The sibilants (particularly the S sounds) are so pronounced on the recording. I wish there was a way to make them less harsh. I love this other than the recording quality! 😥

@@relaxforawhile this reply made my day when I read this to my wife she said "I like how you read it in her tone" cus your voice is so soft and gentle and I suffer from GAD really bad so your videos help me out a lot both mentally and emotionally. Just one small request since you may see this... Can you do more vintage fairy tales? I had to listen to the Little Mermaid 15x cus 😱 that is insane how much Disney changed it and being 39-40 means I can actually remember TLM as a little boy cus my mom ran a day care so she always had Disney VHS playing. What else has Disney changed? I'd love to see an entire playlist dedicated strictly for Vintage Fairy tales, my wife and I love it. I'm so sorry I wrote TLDR, Im just super excited that You've replied to me again, most RU-vidrs don't reply back but you're different. The other day you put out a short about a snowman ☃️ falling down and getting back up, i loved it. I have fallen down so hard in 13yrs and it's taking everything I have and more to get back up . Female voices do not work fork for me! ACCEPT YOURS !!! (no disrespect to others) but I have tried and I can not relax to a female voice. However you are perfect...! I love your sound effects ...your tone and your content!!! My boyfriend used to make me wear headphones until I found your chanel ... Hi Joanne, I love your work! Emma recently posted something about COPPA the FDA and RU-vid and kids. She was saying that there are fines for videos that 'may' be for kids. I know your story is not for kids... But just a suggestion to make it even more clear..do not say, ' not recommended fir kids'... Maybe: not for children more upfront. Just a thought! I am self taught and have no prior audio engineering experience. Alway trying to work on improving. I now have recently purchased a new mic and acoutiscally treated my recording space. I uploaded a story 2 weeks ago called the Sea Fairies. Hope the quality is better there. Thanks for feedback

These are the "origional" versions of the fairy tales we know today and were written in the 1800's and eary 1900's. Many of them do not always have happen endings like the Disney versions of the same story. Some also include violent actions and names or words that would be considered offensive in our modern day.

I am self taught and audio recording and editing has not been easy skill to learn and is expensive. The good news is I continue to try to learn and improve. This video was recorded over 2 years ago and I believe my newer videos have a better quality 🤞🙏🏻
