@@waltervega8730 @waltervega8730 Sure did with friend & her child. We got two tickets from raffle & one bought. Saw it on afternoon. Little praise from all three of us, but more dislike cause of solid reasons. We're not only ones who noticed some bad casting choices & people included in those are are critics & 'normie' viewers This live act remake (or "live act" as 90% is CGI) is clocking in at about 45mins longer than the original with beautiful expressions. Mickey Corporation's decision to increase it so much was a bad call for many reasons :( This "live act" remake has several missteps with one of them being the decision to make the once animated animals horridly photorealistic That way pushing the movie to an uncomfy uncanny valley where the dreepy eyes of Ariel’s aquatic friends attempt to drift the story along. The new songs on this mostly weird "live act" remake are almost fine on their own except horrid Scuttlebutt They don’t totally ring on with the original tracks. Live-action element styms a song like “Under the Sea” - not only have the instruments been taken from the fish & other animals, a certain smiley touch is missing as well :( Take care 👍

So, it's an established character who is white with red hair, that's why when you see images of The Little Mermaid, she is white, with red hair. Aside from shitty people you also have to be transparent and honest with your opinions, not to be mean or hurtful. But that's what makes you better. The only actors that did it for me was Urcula, and her undercover girl at the end. Ariel was OK but she lacked on acting, she was stiff and worried about acting that she didn't show fun. Singing was outstanding tho. Sebastián lacked energy, intensity especially in the song under the sea , it was dull. Triton was also Dull and I didn't feel the connection father and daughter. Scuddle was fun but disliked the rap song. Sebastián needed to be more animated and fun , big eyes and lips etc... Fun movie just a little long , the ending was rushed. As an actor myself this is my honest opinion.

@@liberty6866 no but I’m excited too! So far theres a few changes to music i was not a fan of tho. Halle didn’t sing the lyrics to Ursula’s reprise like Jodi did and lyric changes throughout Kiss The Girl. Oh and Under the Sea adding Halle was nice touch but lost any other bg noises or characters from that song. Just nitpicky things really but overall think everyone did an amazing job. Melissa will be the biggest surprise tho cause I had no idea she could sing like that.

I was born in the early 60's, never grew up segregated even in my neighborhood, it saddened me that some people complained that Halle was chosen to play the main part because of the color of her skin, she is Beautiful and extremely talented, she embodies the role, Bridgerton is another example, it is about time we broke stereotypes and boundaries in the entertainment field, this in turn will finally move us forward as a society.

The world would definitely be a much better place. :) Also I totally love what Rob said about what the message of this movie is: not being afraid of the other or those who are different than you and a reminder that we are all one. I saw the movie, it was MAGICAL! as soon as it ended I wanted to see it again. Everyone did an amazing job, there was so much warmth in the movie, it was magical!! 🥰🥰🥰 I also said my senses were overwhelmed which is why I’m seeing it at least twice more. This seems like a very genuine cast! Very sweet! I saw the movie twice! The ending made me cry each time. I had just been in a fight with my own father. The day before seeing it. So Arial and King Tritons dynamic really got to me. I am happy to say my dad and I have since made up. This movie actually softened my heart a little bit.

I watched it last night and WOW! What a beautiful movie! The music, the characters, the CGI was actually better than I expected too. Also in 3D it looks so realistic, like they were actually swimming in the open ocean 😭💕 Also the bird and Sebastian together were hilarious 😂😂
