I teared up myself, I can feel what your feeling. When I first heard they are making a live action of little mermaid 🧜♀️ i didn’t believe it. Now I’m 100 invested and cant wait to see it. Hearing Halle voice, my inner child watching it with my mom and late grandmother. It brought back so much memories. Also, cant wait to see how Melissa McCarthy portrays Ursula, your right that laugh. It gave me shivers and cheers. Cant wait.
at first i was hesitant because i love Ariel but as SOON as she hit the song I knew it was gonna be good!! and BONUS!! the release date is. my. BIRTHDAY!!! I'm freaking excited!!!
Everyone has a problem with the way the animals looked ; the thing is the movie is called " THE LITTLE MERMAID " , not " the adventures of Sabastian the crab " .
Aw bless you, I love how raw you are watching these trailers. I’m not really a fan of the live action Disney films but I definitely had a tear watching that and Halle is perfection!
@@WatchwithMarcella I appreciate the realistic expectations of Sabastian. I mean he is a crab after all, I hear people saying he's too creepy and my argument is this. Sea life with humanoid faces would be horrifying to look at let alone talk to.
Nice review. Sebastian kind of threw me off on the first viewing, but I quickly adjusted, and accepted. Flounder looks like a fish. Boring, but not off putting. I’m ok with Scuttle being changed to a diving bird for the purposes of being used in underwater scenes. Overall, I am very excited to see this film!
LIVEACTION LIVEACTION LIVEACTION if people could separate the animation from liveaction. People would enjoy this rendition even better. But Humans are complex characters to please. Entertainment is entertainment!!!
Thanks, Marcella! 🧜🏽♀ Looks glorious, doesn't it? For sure, I haven't liked any of the live-action remakes as much as the animated originals... but I've come to appreciate them independently. The effort put into making them all is so massive. We shall see. #WatchWithMarcella #RobMarshall #TheLittleMermaid #TheLittleMermaid2023
@@WatchwithMarcella Oh absolutely agree Melissa is going to slay Ursula I just know it and Eric the actor playing him was on a bunch of BBC programs he’s a newcomer but he’s not bad to look at he’s cute Lol 😂
@@WatchwithMarcella Oh btw are you on Facebook Messenger by any chance cause I would like to show you my outfit I’ll be wearing on Opening Day for the premiere on May 26th 🧜🏻♀️🐠🦀😊
The CGI Lion King was visually BRILLLIANT!! Buuuut.... To have an all star cast, the voice acting was meh. 😐 Plus, too many iconic songs were excluded from the CGI version probably because it would have been too expensive to recreate a photoreal version of the animated feature. Side Note: I don't want the Beyhive coming for me, but when she was supposed to do that one duet in that one scene, she was doing just a tad bit too much. All in all, it was good-- just not great!
I don’t want them coming for me either, but that one duet is just one big MEH. There is zero emotion in for me. All skill, no feeling. Just cuz you can hit the run young lady, doesn’t mean I feel the run. 😝
I think it will be an entertaining experience and will deliver strong performances. I do share the same thoughts on the side characters. This realism thing they're doing with them is off-putting.
Why is it that when someone says I’m watching this for the first time and are super blown away - they all have the same boring notes about cgi and the talking animals. LIKE ALL OF THEM. Can you think of another point to drag a 2 min clip of the movie with? And most important All the 3-12 year old girls and boys won’t have that problem. Bc they actually did a good job. Real fans of the cartoon wouldn’t care. It’s an appreciation seeing your beloved cartoon come to life and that means with everything with it. Black and half black content creators need to stop being the pick me of the litter. It’s not progressive
What do you mean being the “pick me”? I’ve seen a lot of so called “real fans” of the cartoon being off put by the CGI. I didn’t say it was bad, it just looks creepy. There is just something off about it. Plus on a 2 min trailer, what else would I talk about other than what my eyes were presented? A large part of which was the CGI.
@@WatchwithMarcella Is a pass to me too, i want the character to look just like the original cartoon character, Ariel is not black in the cartoon story she is white with red hair, now if this was another story with another mermaid Yes is cool but is not that way. what people don't understand is that Disney is saying to the old generation that was part of the original cartoon movie a big FU and we are not happy about it.
Sorry Javier, I couldn’t disagree more. It shouldn’t matter the skin color of the character. It’s about how the actor portrays the character. And to not even go and give it a chance does the actors a great disservice. It also tells children to stay in their lanes and not aspire to be anything they want to be. I think it’s wonderful. Ariel is a young, red haired mermaid. The fact that Disney decided to portray her as pale skinned was from the original fairytale, but again, it’s a fish. Not a real person. So skin color shouldn’t matter. If it was an actual, historical figure, then I could see people being upset that and actual person was changed. But this is a fictional character, as far as I am concerned it could be anything the filmmakers want.
