In the end of the 1939 film adaptation, After Sara Crewe found her father, Captain Reginald Crewe, who was still alive, she knocked the amnesia out of him and he suddenly remembered her. When that was done, Queen Victoria, who had helped Sara search for her father, departed and Sara and Captain Crewe went back to the boarding and rescued and adopted Becky. The family's fortune got restored and Lord Wickham yelled at Miss Amanda Minchin for lying to him about Geoffrey Hamilton and starving and freezing Sara and Becky. Miss Minchin was fired and arrested by the police. Lavinia and Jessie got removed from the school as punishment for their bullyish behavior, Miss Rose, now married to Geoffrey became Mrs. Rose Hamilton became the new headmistress of the boarding school making a better place for all the girls. Emily the doll moved with the complete Crewe family to a new home in London, England and Ermengarde and the other girls became happy friends with Sara and Becky and visited them next door. As for Miss Minchin's Brother, Mr. Bertie, he became a very good teacher like Miss Rose and everything was much better!
