Her nuanced piano and voice adds a very melancholic touch to this cover. I was always taken by the Tempo of Dolly Partons version but Norah's interpretation is enjoyable as well.

I know looking at the video of her singing a tribute to Johnny Cash which puts you in direct contact with those eyes. There is no way another woman is taking any man away from her, once any human man looked into those eyes. They are mesmerizing to say the least!! Once she has you in that gaze there is no other woman, she is the equivalent of what Louis Lane must have felt after being loved by Superman.

This version has a plaintive sound, almost a cry. Like the singer is crying out for a reprieve from Jolene's machinations. This is an absolutely amasing cover of Dolly Parton's song.

I always think of "Miriam" from "Little Broken Hearts" as the Norah version of what happened to Jolene in the end.
