For those who has already seen this part of the game, it kinda hurts when you remember it doesn't it? I love how you get a music disk after each chapter and you get to hear them in their struggle and how you..well..failed

The chorus keeps rising and struggling higher even over the light and the waters. Until "I'd rather see the dark end of a tunnel, than the bottom of a pit" He'd rather move forward into uncertainty than give up. One of the more hopeful patient songs.

I love the layered metaphors and wordplay tombstone comes up with.

TLT is seriously my favorite artist. So excited to hear this.

This song perfectly describes what it's like to grow up with depression. It's even worse when you grow up with parental problems, you isolate yourself into this "dark tunnel" of loneliness, because you're even more scared of the bottom of the pit that is rejection that you're so tired of and already have experience with. Doesn't help either that you're also young and therefore can't "see but two feet" in front of you, so you don't know how to get out of it and get the self esteem that you need to help yourself. True depression is a violent ocean that can be troubling to get out of if you never learn how to help yourself out of it. Everyone deserves to be loved, so try to find some for yourself, ok? Things can get better if you decide that you want them to be, but that's a commitment that some people have to do without any support, which is why it's important to find someone to talk to first. There's always someone out there who understands you, so don't stay silent. If you're in need of a captain then find someone with experience and befriend them!

I cry every time this comes on because it sounds exactly how I feel. Allen was my favorite and most relatable character of the whole game. I never thought I would find something that sounds like my heart, but I did thanks to you. Thank you all who made this song.

I don't know what it is about this game and especially the songs you get after each encounter, but they all make me feel terribly guilty, and bad for the patients and for Desmond. Amazing song.

This game will most likely have one of the best osts of all time, rivaling games like Undertale in song quality.

0:40 "I am flawed but fixable" I love this line. Though the singer describes how he'd rather be dead or succumb to the light in his head, even satisfy his morbid curiosity, he acknowledges that there's still hope for him. The person he's speaking to that tells him this... good on you!

The saddest thing of the song for me is that Allen said that he'd rather see the end of the tunnel (to be dead) than the bottom of the pit (to sucumb to his madness)... and then you realised that he didn't die, but he is in coma, suffering his nightmares forever (until Desmond saved him, at least).

Allen's story was so sad man The saddest in my opinion. Also In Sound Mind is just- idk how to describe it ....its special?...Like you can compare your condition to Allen's or Virginia's..... You know? Also what happend to Allen was in my opinion to sad EDIT: after reading alot of comments i found out that Allen is actually ALIVE 🎉 He is just in a coma

These songs hit harder knowing that not only did your character fail to help solve their problems, but that the guy you’re hunting is the one that caused their deaths.

The music nerd in me is so happy to believe that everyone's deepest, most honest part of their subconscious is a really rockin' song playing in the back of your mind. This game was amazing and the soundtrack even more so. You outdid yourselves TLT! 💗

One thing I love about tlt songs is that if you listen closely in of most of there songs you can hear a second voice quieter and following closely behind the main vocals

I haven't even finished _In Sound Mind_ yet, but this has to be my favorite track so far. 'A Doll's House' and 'Is It Me?' are pretty close seconds. While I'm not schizophrenic myself (I have PTSD & GAD), I definitely sympathize with Allen. The feeling of being anxious, restless, slightly "off" and never knowing why. But still holding onto that hope that things will get better. Like at 0:40 when he reflects on Desmond telling him he's "Flawed, but fixable"; I'm currently in therapy now and even when I relapse, my therapist gives me the courage to not let my trauma control me. So I see myself that way, too. Being flawed, but fixable. Also, 3:13...just 3:13. That part gives me the best chill when it comes on, it just makes me wanna sing along!! I don't know how you do it, TLT, but you made a sea shanty I can listen to for hours on end.

Love how the verse talking about captains, the camera is passing an abandoned cargo ship

This is my favorite of all the songs in this game. That line "I'd rather see the dark end of the tunnel than the bottom of a pit" just hits me right at home. That, and it makes me wonder... did Allen know about what happened to Max? It's like he says "I'd rather be in this coma, than the guy who got buried alive by the company..."

Dang I can honestly relate.. yesterday was awful, my old best friend posted a video to tik tok saying I was a "bad decision" posting old pictures of her and I and I gotta admit that hurt. I can find a huge part of myself in Allen so this song kind of hits me hard. Also, I can see people I personally know in the other vinyls. These vinyls are very underrated for how much it complements the game. I can recall the story plot just by listening to the vinyls.

Considering this song is about depression and lots of people in the comments seem to relate personally to this song, Just thought I'd add this here: Though I have never experienced depression personally and cannot begin to imagine what it would feel like to have that constant turmoil within yourself, I at least understand that it is hard. You feel like you can't get out of the pit- it's so deep and hard to climb- you may as well be in a murky glass tunnel. All efforts for anyone to reach out to you, or for you to reach out to anyone, is greatly distorted. You may misinterpret what they say, and this "Glass", so to speak, distorts their faces and words so that you feel that they are patronising, hating and judging. This glass also distorts your reflection, too. You see yourself in ways that nobody else sees you; you feel guilty just for having feelings at all, and you wish you didn't. To escape this tunnel, you feel that your only way out is death. I understand that there is far more to depression than this, and my description would barely scrape the surface. If you are reading this and feel depressed, or even just down or with self-blame; Firstly, you are not alone. And that, even if you don't believe it, shows just that what you feel isn't something to feel guilty for; it does not ostracize you as being inadequate. It is not your fault for having emotions, it makes you human. Even if you feel like you don't, even if you do not know people, there will always be someone to listen - talk to them. You don't need to go through a storm such as this alone. It may be hard, but believe in yourself, like we believe in you. There's no rush, don't feel as though you have to force yourself to be better right away or else- take your time. I know that it is hard, and when researching how to attempt to leave such a bottomless pit seems to get you nowhere, but there is always a way out. If it feels dark, and you can only see one path, know that there are many paths- the may just not have been travelled quite yet. Keep going strong- you have come this far and even if it feels like you have not moved, you have come a long way, and worked harder than many can even begin to imagine. I'm no therapist, and if you feel this way, please see someone who can help you. You will get there someday :)
