I've been watching your TLD since the beginning and finally bought it a few weeks ago. I planned on doing that 7 years ago when I retired but here I finally am. A few days ago I started a "campaign", got curb-stomped by a moose at the Trapper's Homestead and did my 120 hours but with only 4 painkillers, almost no food but a handful of cattail stocks (a dozen maybe), 6 bandages and 2 cans of pop. I did the condition yo-yo thing and got through it, headed over to the Camp Office, found painkillers and then recovered fully and went to the fishing hut where I accidentally ate a gamey whitefish and died before I could cross the lake. I wanna see that fishy take on Bullwinkle! BTW, before I met the moose I charged a wolf out of panic and sent it off using my axe without taking damage to me or any of my clothing!
What took you so long!?! We should have heard this story like 7 years ago. But seriously, that sounds like quite the memorable start to your survival mode gameplays. I hope the next one is just as exciting, but you make it a bit longer. Good job!
@@Accurize2 Well, Sarge, I thought I'd have ample time to watch TLD _and_ play it, but I found myself subscribing to more and more educational channels. Well over 300. I've learned about as much as I care to now, so I'm back to gaming.
I hate to bring up the rose hips again, at the beginning of this episode you picked up a bunch of them, but you also have some in the medicine cabinet. You've never seen your grand total with both of those stacks together.
@@Accurize2 fair. I picked up that's what you were getting at. Maybe at Christmas will can decorate a tree with them. Lol. You're the best. I can't believe you worked the 4th and came home and got an episode out. ♥️
I know it was a pain, but good to see you fend off the scurvy. I'm like you; it makes it more immersive to have to overcome some unexpected challenges.
Don't know if you noticed it but you have some clothing in the 50-60% range, might wanna do a repair session soon. Great episodes I love watching your TLD plays.
Misery and some other DLC additions catered to spreadsheet, specific style of gameplay. As someone said - DLC shows Hinterland do not understand what made their game great for many.
16:05 - Could've used your Quality Tools to craft the arrow quicker, but I could see you were trying to pass some time in the hopes of getting sunlight for that outdoor fire. Also, Rose Hip Tea can help cure your Scurvy quicker. Rose HIps IRL had more Vitamin C pound for pound than any citrus fruit~
@accurize2 i really cannot tell you how grateful I am to have found your channel and grateful you have so much quality content to watch. Been helping me through a lot. 👍
Just a FYI and I'm sure you know this already, but if you manage your weight better then what you do, and keep it out of red, you will reduce the chance of sprang axles and wrist.
right.... there was something... late happy 4th of july to you and all american viewers. well harvesting downs from a ptarmigan should take a wile. its not like you need only one down, you probably use dozens of them, with how tiny they are. also you need to get them out without tearing them apart and all that stuff. so... yeah... i think the insulated liners lost condition because of an animal fight. sooo... the crappy torches... why not throw them on the fire, just to get rid of them? i mean a 10% torch or stuff? when do you ever want to use them? finally the scurvy thing is done... like i said before: i get it, its realistic but still... its not really a good mechanic in my opinion. looking forward to the next one. keep up the great work
Always enjoy and misery ur going to die there know way ever to not die misery is a time bomb and the loot is interloper loot spawns just how long u prolong it cause the last afflication is a guarantteed death sentence cause once it happens u will not be able leave the shelters. I tryed it 3 times and that was enough for me. And bud when u eat fish look at the fish u eat cause some the fish are way better then others for vituim C. And the type weight if the fish doesnt matter for that. But loven ur videos have for a long time
@@Accurize2 What i seen personaly on that is random i believe but yeah have notice smaller fish seemed have more Vitiums some reasom thats why i always fish but only transport the heigher vitium C ones home
I messed around with it a while back and it seemed like more trouble than it was worth. Plus, I'm catching so much now it's almost a "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" situation. I can try to do it a bit more next time I fish though, now that I really have the tip-ups working and have a good feel for a baseline of performance from them.
@@Accurize2 personally it seems to be worthwhile at least if you aren't immediately starving. Pro tip that one tiny tiny fish gives no vit c at all so I like to use them for bait.
