I enjoy the content, but....The last time I played on voyager I was attacked by a moose, two wolves and a bear....How are you not getting the attention of predators on a much harder level?
@@patrickmuhwheeney6518 First, I know their routes pretty well in the regions I’ve been in thus far. Second, Interloper has reduced animal populations, however the predators are more aggressive from those reduced numbers.

Do you have the travois? It's a game changer for moving large quantities of stuff. Takes a bit of work to do caves/chokepoints though. Also good for moving large quantities of meat or fish without smelling.
@@jeffblack6295 I do. Those choke points and the lack of the need to mask any stench was the reason I didn’t even consider it. Plus I also like keeping my head on a swivel as much as possible.
Does your carry weight affect how soon the ice starts to crack for beach combing? I dimly recall some ppl claiming that a long time ago. I never really worried about it, but I wonder if all the excess coal weight caused it to crack sooner?
I picked the perfect summer to finally start playing TLD. Too hot too long up here in the Great White North, so I'm livin' vicariously through Will, and I'm giving him lots of frostbite risk while I play in front of the A/C.
I really didn't mean to pig out What I meant was you were starving all day surrounded by meat. You'd be destroying your health by not having at least a few calories in you.
@@Wastelandman7000 Well you’re getting your wish. 😂 Honestly it doesn’t matter if I’m totally full or half full or just a few calories. The depletion rate is the same. Staying filled up just protects me from myself, when I become inattentive and accidentally let the calories hit zero. I’ve done that way more than most.

im kinda confused why you didnt just haul the coal over with the sled or just make a note that you left about 20ish of em there. the usual... using a match and 5 minutes later its sunny... sometimes these games seem to have a rub-it-in mechanic... nice cooking session and in general a pretty productive episode again. i hope you dont make progress to fast since there are lots of days still to cover. anyways looking forward to the next one. get well and keep up the great work <3
I’m trying to save wear and tear on the sled for times I’m hauling huge amounts of (what otherwise would be) stinky meat. As for hauling in crouch required areas…I’m not sure if that is even possible. So that seems like a hassle to mess with unloading and loading again near the crumbling highway exit.
@@Accurize2 makes sense. hopefully there wont be too to much hauling to do before you manage to get either a satchel, the bigger backpack or a big stockpile of calories to easily go well fed without needing to plan your next fishing week or hunting session.
Misery looks interesting. Also, I'm so sad they already removed the cougar for fixing. However, the anxiety of it possibly attacking was worse than the Darkwalker. Also if you want extra permanent carry weight theres a tactical backpack in Ash canyon.
Thanks for the video. The abundance of coal is one of the things I like about Desolation Point. I used to avoid going to the region, but over time I grew to like it. But the wolves still manage to surprise me sometimes when I'm leaving the lighthouse.
Shouldnt deer have. the moost vitamin C? Fish dont have that much vitimin C and or what they do have its destroyed by heat. A deer you can atleast eat the liver of which to my understanding has a decent ammount of vitimin C.

I'm happy to hear your vacation went well :) I haven't been fishing in so long! I miss it. Around here we mainly have trout (and some bass) fishing in some local reservoirs that get stocked with the trout. Used to take everyone's trout catch and clean it, steam it whole with fresh lemon slices, chopped yellow onion, chopped garlic all stuffed inside it, wrapped in tin foil, put directly on the camp fire. Then when it's cooked you take out the cooked onion and garlic (toss the lemon slices), shred all the meat, mix the onion/garlic/meat in a big Tupperware container (so you can save any leftovers for later in the ice chest) with some fresh-squeezed lemon juice, mayo, cayenne pepper, paprika, salt & white pepper, and some minced celery if you have it (and some more minced raw yellow onion if you really like onion and the crunch). It's basically fancy tuna salad, but with fresh steamed trout instead of canned tuna lol We would all eat it together out of the big Tupperware container with ritz crackers. God I miss that. We need to make a point of going back. Hope your wife got to make something delicious out of her pike :)
@@Accurize2 You can see the arrow picked up graphic top right as you inspected the wolf. Also, if you have 12 arrows and you draw the bow, the arrow indicator only shows 11, it's showing the number in your quiver, it doesn't include the one on the bow rest.
If you check at 17:59 you'll see that you have 2 arrows, 100% and 82% condition. At 27:25 you can hear Will picking up the arrow from the wolf carcass and then at 29:46 your inventory shows a third arrow at 73% condition. Another mystery solved :)

I'm glad that you had a nice vacation. Fishing is alright, I love eating bass and catfish. When I was a kid we went to Yellowstone, Dad went fly fishing and across the water we saw a moose with twin babies. They were so beautiful!. Great video.. I've been binging on a lot of the Long Dark on other channels. I've seen all of yours. Love them, it is so fun to binge. Anyway..have a safe night at work. 😊❤❤
i know you wanted the cloth for tipups up but gathering it and beeing caught in a blizzard would also have been a good timing to double check your clothes in preparation of the trip to desolation point. especially with the wool socks and in general all the non-renewable clothes. i think quatering also destroys the arrow... kinda weird tho but now we know... looking forward to the next one. keep em coming <3
We got the arrow back according to another comment. I guess the game picked it up when I quartered it. Good advice on repairing some tough to get clothing. 👍
Well I have a fair amount of cooked meat. But I really need to cook that massive pile. Once I do that, I’ll eat normally…as in normally for normal people. 😂
@@jamessadia It's something like 1% an hour. The issue is you layer on top of that the cold and you see this constant yoyo he has going on. He almost lost the run in a wolf struggle and is at serious risk of doing so again.
Coastal highway is the best place to settle in for the long haul. I grind my ice fishing and cooking level in that hut by the 3 cabins. The bear comes thru as well. Great strategy Accurize
