If Kostya got the position on minute 10:00 against a player as strong as himself or stronger, would he accept a draw proposal (or even offer one)? Since the best he can hope for is winning the d5 pawn at the cost of trading more pieces, resulting in a drawn 4 vs 3 endgame. I understand that against weaker players the strong side can press a lot, but against a strong opponent is tougher to do it sucessfully.
