I find it interesting that, like Peru for example , the bottom blocks which are oldest ..are much better built and seamless vs the newer top which is just basically rocks piled and cemented. It's like a 2nd civilization found it and built on top 🤔

When the drone cleared the canopy and revealed both the ruins and vast landscape, I was mesmerized! One of the things that is unique when you show us these natural and human made wonders, you don't just appear at them, like the "professional" presentations do, you take us on the entire journey, we meet the people, the animals, the roads along the way. So the sense of wonder when we arrive is more than it would have been just seeing video or photos of "the wonder". And - ahhhhh - it was so satisfying watching Alaska get a power wash. And the sunset over the lake!

If you ever visit one of those sites you realize that they weren't built by Stone Age midgets without metal tools, without the wheel. Just the preplanning of the site of the site at chichen itza to cast the serpents shadow would have taken years for them to figure out. My visit there was troubling to me. After coming home I read every book published on the subject, more than once., and Im still not buying it. There's just no way the site was built without help from God knows who.

Thank you again for the wonderful drone videos of NAKUM , such ruins seen from ground level always fail to express their magnificence in the landscape . Stuck ? 😵‍💫 In addition to sticks on mud take advantage of any palm fronds you may find loose at ground level . They can work wonders as ground mats on loose sand and wet mud . When I was working in agricultural spraying of crop fields after spring planting the driver of the sprayer would occasionally get stuck in wet spots and would radio back a message of "I need traction enhancers !!" which was our code for bales of straw which I often carried on the service truck .Spread out ahead of wheels in slimy ruts straw, or palm leaves , make getting forward movement a lot easier. Your extreme exertion in the mud has confirmed me again in being satisfied with my habit of riding only to the road-accessible Mayan sites, since I cannot carry enough" traction enhancer "' .

Laser scans revealed more than 60,000 previously unknown Maya structures that were part of a vast network of cities, fortifications, farms, and highways. There's also been found archaeological links between Takum and a site just south of Mexico City, 800 miles away, so, truly the Mayan culture is a lot larger than originally thought.

The continued adventures of one of the toughest RU-vidrs out there. From borderline hypothermia and altitude sickness travelling through the mountains of Kyrgyzstan to the mad mud trails of Guatemala, you have taken us along through some rough terrain. Thanks for all the effort and hard work that you put in. Safe travels.

It is so impressive that they could build such massive structures with basically stone age tools .

Take a second look at her footage. There are two types of stonework. The square blocks are far more ancient then we can judge because the Mayans cleared the ancient ruins off thousands of years ago and built their own structures on top. The base of those pyramids could be 30,000 or 100,000 years old.

That was a special experience getting through the maze of mud pits to find the Mayan temples in the middle of the jungle. Your determination was remarkable. It would have been so easy to justify turning around. But instead, you fought your way through every challenge and succeeded in the end. I loved to drone footage of the temple complex. That added a lot to the experience of the temples. Thanks for taking us along with you.

I am sure I sat there holding my breath along with everyone else as Noraly struggled to get the bike out of mud holes. What a fantastic trip through the jungle to the Mayan site. Also, the music for the various scenes is outstanding and fits the moment. Noraly, you are doing a wonderful job.

I love that feeling of being alone and vulnerable taking on a challenge followed by the sense of achievement at the end of a journey what ever that journey may be. It's character building and strengthens the soul. I have ridden MX and a fair bit of Enduro but at the moment have a cruiser and road ride however watching your vlogs is inspiring me to get an adventure bike and get back on the dirt. A lot of those tracks remind me of riding the pine forests just north of Brisbane where I live, I miss it. Keep that awesome footage rolling, you are a Inspiration, thankyou.

I agree with you. However I don't like the fact that she doesn't like dust in her face and following another person. If she was my daughter I would send her to her room until she agreed to travel in safety. I would go but I am 78, married happily and I think she could overpower me if I tried to keep her in her room.

Dada.... she follows the beat of her own drum. There have been many brave souls like hers that died doing what they loved. I think that is better than staying home and letting life pass you by! BTW, she still has to get through Mexico ( EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND PROBABLY MORE THAN ANY TRECK THUS FAR!!!!). USA is not much better. In the mid 90's I was riding my bike on some back country roads not far from Suches Georgia. I stoped on the bitumen to take a picture. This Ass hole hillbilly POS steps out on his porch, whips out a revolver of at least 44 cal and at least a 14" barrel. He starts spinning his wheel gun as if to say, leave now or I will shoot.

I agree, I am 78 and struggle with my health. By the time she gets out of one mess, I am thankful for the pause button. After I rest up it is time to get back to work and push the play button again. But this episode was on the long side and I appreciated that for all the explanation of the ruins but I just kept pushing the play but and that really did me in lol. I think I should tape my watching this so you could here me breathing in response to her breathing wrestling with Alaska.

Yes it was exhausting. We all love and admire Noraly but this time I am not completely happy about someone taking such risks and unaccompanied for my and others' entertainment viewing. Who could have come to any SOS call and at what risk to themselves if they did? Sometimes there's only a small distance between great bravery and an element of foolhardiness and this recent adventure is on that kind of border.

@@rollanmccleary1223 Agree. I have been watching Noraly for the past couple of years, and I feel she's taking more and more risky & dangerous routes. I read all these people rooting for her and egging her on, and it just seems like we're in an arena watching gladiators fight. This is a real person taking risks so that her channel gets more and more viewership. She is probably getting more confident as well after meeting every challenge so far. She very obviously enjoys taking these routes, and that's fine, but there were some episodes like this one and the one on the volcano where she could have landed herself in bad trouble.

This was one of the most fantastic adventures I have ever seen. I rode to Tikal two years ago and know the area a little. However your adventure is so extreme and hazardous but rewarding, that it kept me on the edge of my chair and throughly in-tune with your experience in the jungle on Alaska. Thank you for showing us Nakum which is a rare place to discover. Your explanation of history and description is exemplary.

Hey Noraly, this ride was a bit scary one - not a soul out there to help you if you needed...... i wonder if you knew that the place is going to be so empty...... but at the end of the day, the struggle through the mud and the risk involved was worth it. Getting to see the ancient Mayan ruins first hand is simply incredible. It was simply amazing. And finally, the look on your face on seeing the ruins - ECSTATIC !!!
