This song always makes me think of “I do this for all of us”. But also “More fighting…” and “For the Empire!” Those three quotes always play in my head when I hear this theme.
Nah, this one is totally for Black Eagles. Spoilers: fighthing in the rain, facing former students and you know who becoming a monster. BL can have Chasing Daybreak.
@@resistancearmy5385 Long Road reminds me of A Hero's Destiny which plays in Shadow Dragon after Marth has liberated his homeland Altea from enemy forces. This also plays when Dimitri saves his and Claude's capitals from the enemy. That's why I feel like it's associated with Blue Lions. I never felt the same "mega vibes" with either SS or CF routes. And furthermore, I can't say that Between Heaven and Earth associates with either of those as well as... neither of them had that battle. Seeing as how Dimitri has one of his best lines in it though, I'm giving it to Blue Lions. So with Chasing Daybreak, Between Heaven and Earth, and The Long Road, I'd say that gives Post Timeskip to BL. But Roar of Dominion does belong to BE, as there's no way I could associate it with Claude or Dimitri. Finally, GD gets all of Pre Timeskip since most of the music sounds more upbeat. Neither of which would be associated with Edelgard or Dimitri. And SS had the best Final Boss theme. But that's my opinion. And I had to give SS something here.
100% agree. Chasing daybreak is mad king dimitri, and Long Road is good king dimitri. Because this song is so sad, it's the perfect theme for killing the blue lions.
I agree, this song immediately makes me think of BE. Chasing Daybreak makes me immediately think of BL. Also, nice profile pic, Xenoblade is my favorite game.
I personally think that this song fits well in both routes because of how they're used. If you didn't notice, Chasing Daybreak plays during the first half of the war phase, while The Long Road plays during the second half. For CF, the first half of the war is when the Empire has to conquer the Alliance, while the second half is when the focus shifts to towards the Kingdom. In AM, Chasing Daybreak plays while Dimitri is in his "feral" phase, and The Long Road takes over once he's begun his redemption arc. In both cases, the song also has a strong thematic meaning, with it representing Edelgard's long march towards Fhirdiad in one route, and it representing Dimitri's long road towards redemption in another.
i actually made a video with the added effects of the rain + thunder. appreciate if you hear it here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0qP4yV_IlRI.html
"My it's been a long time hasn't your highness. You've grown offily strong." "How shameless, but it was you who killed my uncle and set me up. Am I right?" "Haha, too true I already forgot all about that loveliness." "You monster! you will pay for all you have done!"
