When I read his book 2 States I loved it and read it twice. When my friend heard about it, he said “Tujhe pata hai ki log kya bolte hai iske bare me?” I was like “mujhe kya karna hai ki kon kya bolta hai, mujhe pasand aai koi cheeze to aai “ so the point is faltu k logo ko mat suna karo.
Really relieved to know such a famous personality has also been through the same situation and problems related to low confidence. It actually makes us believe nothing's impossible. Truly inspirational sir!!

@@vitocarleone7197 Firstly toh please don't call me ma'am, we must be around same age and please go for it!Academic grades are considered but it's just a part of evaluation like a section of it and both your 12th and UG marks would be considered so a descent score is enough to apply. Also there are some B schools where a certain benchmark of grades is set whereas some Top B school don't consider them that much. So don't worry just prepare well for CAT, it holds atmost importance at the moment and also read articles of students who share their CAT experiences online.I've read and personally known people with mere 80% studying in IIM A.

@@vitocarleone7197 there are a lot of colleges at par with top iims that do no consider academics that much I would suggest you improve your profile in these last 2 years of college take part in competitions improve your overall personality and also study hard in your last 2 years so that you could achieve 10 grades in yours last 4 sem so that you could tell the interviewer that you realized your mistake and worked on it or you could say something creative like you can divide my life into 2 parts 19 years of mediocracy and last 2 years of trying to achieve excellence hope this helps

Listened it twice. So much to take away from this. Can relate to a lot of your story. It's like feeling you. And no doubt the it's your boldness sir that helped you crack the IIM-A. And the statement that you made in the interview is something that landed you a admission in IIM-A. And along your life you proved that. Today I can say a lot of us know IIM-A as your college. Sir it's really heart touching story to get into IIM. You convey it like that I was feeling myself instead of you in this whole path and found great learning out of it.
Chetan Sir, the GD technique you shared is superb. Enumeration always helps and it also depicts Cohorence in thought process. Few more techniques I have used for success in GDs are below: 1. Identify one or two dominant speakers to whom the group listens. After 45-60 secs, when they start to loose their chain of thoughts, enter in the GD by saying 'Yes, I agree with you...' and make your best points first 2. If the GD has become a fish market completely, raise your voice above the din and keep telling your point although no one is listening at first. There will be a narrow window when people will actually listen. At that point, lower your voice to near normal and blurt out your best point in next 45 secs. If you had already made your point in the din, just repeat your point with poise as no one would have heard the first time😀

I am going through the same phase of interviews. Not converted average colleges even at 98.86 percentile. I have completed all my interviews and waiting for the results of IIMs and other top private colleges. I hope I make into one of them. This video is totally relatable. I have 3 points: 1. I haven't read any books of yours but have watched 3+ movies based on them. 2. I haven't gone through Wikipedia, but seeing your videos I can feel the person with experiences from IIT, IIM, Investment Banking now following his passion, became So Successful, So Humorous, So Understandable writer, putting his efforts to serve the society with quality knowledge and visions. You will be remembered somewhat like TATA, who ran their business while serving the society. 3. I don't have much to say by now, but off the topic let me tell you I will work on my laziness and will become a good person in life. Thanks.
One thing that always works is...during the conversation/interview, you should try bringing your thoughts, your ideas (what you want to do, how it can bring change in society) even no one is asking..( and yes saamne wala bhi tumhe lag rha ho ki interested hoga agar mein shuru karu) But real challenge is ki insaan ko ideas kaise aaye jisse wo society me change la sakta ho... Simple question to Chetan Bhagat is "how one can find passion/purpose of this life" jiske baad use bas wahi karne ka man karein irrespective of money, fame etc?

Dear Chetan - I didn't watch your videos because your are out-of-the-world speaker or orator, etc. I liked the simplicity and honesty in them. You mentioned both good and not so good things happening with you which gives it a feeling that yes, this can happen with anyone. I recollect something you spoke in one of your interviews that India and Pakistan can't be friends, fine, but that doesn't mean they should fight with each other, they can just exist as neighbors. This logic applies to us in our day-to-day lives too. Again simple but deep rooted logic. Wish you all the best for many many such videos.
Hi Sir GD's really suck and generally it's good to be a patient listener but it doesn't help in Group discussion and everyone does gate crashing. I wish I had that this 3 points tip with me during my time. Thanks a lot sir for making these long videos and giving us the great lessons..love you sir ❤

Reason why chetan bhaiya is idle for youngsters like us are that he uses common words such as pelna, chomu, fat gayi, meri lag gayi etc. that is used by youngsters as well. Love you bhaiya 😂
