In accordance with proverbs 16:9, 2 corinthians 6:14-18 and this word I loosen God will establish all steps in my life, the lives of my family, friends, colleagues, neighbours, acquintances, opponents, and the body of Christ while one is bound to be established by God almight, while I loosen myself of every unequal yoke and common share with those whose steps are not ordered by God almighty, in the name and blood of Jesus Christ, amen and hallelujah!
What if you keep praying to God for an answer about a lifelong dream/career path and your family and everyone around you is telling you to quit, but people in the industry tell you to keep going that you are one step away and that you are good enough and you feel it in your heart it’s true? Is it something you should follow? What if I keep failing along the way? Is it worth it to keep doing it? I truly believe this is what God wants But sometimes I wonder if I’m just wishful thinking. I have always thought this way my entire life. Would like some ones input
Great question! Ironically, just got done speaking about this with a good friend of mine. Yes, if you believe in your heart that God is calling you to it, then you should continue to pursue. Too many times we allow others to dictate what we pursue. We are judged and led by their perceptions and opinions, when we should solely be led by God. I understand how extremely hard it is to have loved ones tell you differently. I have been through it and it is not an easy road. If God takes you to it, trust He will bring you through it. If He has not made it plain that it is time to leave, you are to grow where you currently are. Don't allow other people to drift you! The enemy works even through our loved ones. We all have a church calling and an independent calling from God. When we are called by God to do something, others will not hear the same call. Why? Because it is not for them. God speaks to us in a variety of ways. Stay the course and continue on. Don't let others discourage you, but find your joy, comfort, and security in Christ! Hope this helps. God bless ~
So, you "keep praying"... is God answering you? I always pray for God to show me things I don't know. And also to guide my thoughts my actions and my words... then He somettimes leads me and I don't know it until after the fact. I humbly request for God to show me an answer in scripture... and then something shows up in my studies. If He doesnt answer then He may be testing you to wait on Him until He gives you an answer. Praise God. Amen.
One part that’s not biblically accurate is when you said about whether or not we are meant to be kept single. It’s not about whether or not you’re meant to be single it’s whether or not you desire to be. The choice is yours! It’s not something you have no say in. The Bible is clear where Paul says you are free to marry whoever you choose as long as they are of the faith. It’s up to you to decide whether or not you stay single. We have to stop preaching a lazy, passive message, pushing all the responsibility to God. You play a part in your choices!
