Saw it last week and was blown away. I missed the original run in London as I lived in the Netherlands and was 15 years old at the time. Will see another 2 times at least. Couldn’t believe how constantly involved the entire cast was acting, dancing, singing whilst playing musical instruments. Absolutely loved it!
I saw this on Saturday and I can't stop thinking about it. The skill of the cast and the staging were absolutely exceptional. It was wonderful and inspiring. Easily the equal of anything that I have seen in the West End and better than almost all. One play to rule them all and spellbind the audience.
Saw it today and I think it's the bist production I've ever seen. It was interesting that they're all Lord of the Rings fans because the commitment and enthusiasm from all the cast (especially Pippin) was tangible
very glad to hear that the musical is coming back on stage in whatever format, even if it is fairly different to the original production. Love the music and it has seemed bonkers to me that there's never been a revival or touring version of it.
Saw this last weekend and loved it, brilliant use of space and involvement of nature and song throughout. Will there be a studio recording available soon? I'd love to listen to them many more times! Well done to the whole creative team for bringing it alive (and bringing Tom B into LOTR!)
I wish I had known this show existed. My dad and I saw the original production at Drury Lane. My dad died two weeks ago. I would have loved to insist that he come visit me and see this show. He wouldn't have driven the 3 hours, lol. But this show is so special to me.
Will there be videos in the future of one of the songs or bits of the musical? I live in the Netherlands, but I am super curious about this. It looks magical.
