Mordred and Sisigou are my favorite servant/master pair. I interpreted it as a father looking for his daughter and a daughter looking for her father.

It is said that Astolfo still walks the earth until this day, spreading the word of the big gay.

That end of Jeanne is basically the same as Shirou reaching Artoria in Avalon.

So best girl Astolfo lives on forever more? Huh.. interesting.

I think the biggest weakness of the Anime wasn't that there were nearly double the amout of people as the other Grail Wars, but rather that they focused on the wrong parts sometimes. They did cut stuff and they sometimes did it in the wrong spot. I WOULD like to give them credit for making good visuals, which i do, but i absolutly hated on how plain shitty they developed the "Protaonists", not just Sieg. They just expect you to know these people, but honestly, how many people know Atalanta? Or Avicebron?

I personally really loved this iteration of Fate. Sure it had some downs but overall I thoroughly enjoyed the ride! Plus the fight sequences, sound effects, OSTs, OPs, EDs, and voice acting ( Both Sub & Dub ) were amazing! Ah, I'm going to feel empty without having Mordred, Shishigou, Achilles & Ruler in my life. God I hate finishing Anime ;-;

Dai , you did fantastic telling the entire lore of the story. It was great telling both sides of the tale. Using both the anime and novel to produce a wonderfull series. I hope your next series is something fantastic as well

Funny thing - Higashide originally planned that Semiramis ask Karna to shoot Jumbo Jets, but Lancer sticks his spear in the ground and fires Brahmastra, saying: “Weapons are unnecessary. A true hero kills with his eyes!”.

It's worth noting that (at least in the anime) Amakusa sacrificed his dominant hand to intercept Jeanne's La Pucelle *before* engaging Sieg, further handicapping his swordsmanship in addition to his already less than stellar parameters. Which I think is a believable reason for a pre-transformation Sieg to win the duel, especially when juiced up by Frankenstein.

Honestly alsolfo is one of my favorite hero’s because he just desires to help even if he is a fool and insane so he genuinely was one of the few people who returning to the world would actually be a good outcome he knows he can’t do much but he’ll do what he can even at the cost of himself

Despite the flaws, I absolutely loved this anime!

In the light novel it was Laetitia who had those feelings for Sieg.

I think the idea for Shiro's ideal world is essentially the same as Instrumentality from Eva. Removed from our physical separations from each other, with only our souls present, there is full understanding of one another and therefore no doubt in intent or deceiving or malice there is no need to protect ourselves from others either. So, we can exist in perfect peaceful understanding. The only thing that may be different is that I'm not sure if we blend back into 1 combined soul like in Instrumentality, or if Shiro thinks we'd still exist as separate souls but with complete knowledge and understanding of one another.

No matter what Seig x Astolfo is the best couple. Better chemistry.

You know the scene of the jumbo jets flying with them on top made me think how could they even withstand the turbulence up there

Fate Apocrypha finale! Here we go

i love fate Apocrypha it did manage to make the holy grail war refreshing and nostalgic to the original while maintaining the feels i got from the original its a good story with a bitter sweet end as one like this should end as ^_^

I'm more bothered by Sieg getting Frans powers so badly.

Now that the Apocrypha craze has simmered down I wanna leave some real thoughts on it and the ending. The anime as a whole was just fine, it was an EPIC ride seeing more historical and legendary figures brought to life to battle it out leading to clashes of both weapons and ideals and that's what makes it awesome. For those who hate the fight between Karna and Siegfried cuz "Karna would kill Siegfried in seconds" clearly have never actually read or looked into Siegfried's legend and seen how powerful he really is. As for Jeanne's feelings for Sieg, Ruler or not she is human even if they are servants now they were once humans and still hold on to their emotions. Besides she already feels she has no right to have such feelings she don't need anyone else going on about it. But to strip her of those emotions and she would not be the "Holy Maiden" the fandom has come to love and same goes for Arturia. Take away their emotions or characteristics like that and they are no longer the characters that we love just blank slates of characters based on historical and fictional heroes. Finally as for the ending and all the reactions it's got I'll say this. Get. Over. It. Miracles happen all the time in the Nasuverse. We all know it, he's confirmed it and we all accepted that long ago yet when they actually happen everyone gets all pissy. Miracles aren't suppose to be rational let alone make sense that's what makes them *Miracles.* That said it's not a big deal that Jeanne made it to the reverse side or Shirou making it to Avalon. The people who hate the ending of the anime, their argument boils down to "Waaaaah!! Protag stole my Waifu". Never forget in the Nasuverse "Everything is canon" no one is forcing you to accept this particular ending. The very foundation of this franchise is built on the fans picking and choosing their paths and endings. If you like the ending to the novel better fine no one is making you accept this ending as the "One True Ending". Over all, Apocrypha is an EPIC ride of adventure and fantasy ment to be enjoyed. You don't get on a roller coaster to criticize where your organs end up at the end of the ride. You get on it for the rush you know you are about to have from all the ups, downs, twists and turns. Those are my thoughts, no one likes it, not my problem.

I think the main reason why the BEST TRAP is still on the earth maybe its because of Sieg's now endless mana now that he resides in the Reverse Side of The World and also because Sieg is the Winner of the Grail War.

I wonder, if Sieg stays immortal then does that make Astolfo immortal (unless killed)?

To add to what you said in the video, self-interest and conflict resulting from it (both between people and within ourselves) are what drive us humans towards progress. So even if shirou had succeeded this new humanity would eventually become stagnant amd lose the very thing that makes us human to begin with

Anyone ever think able what would of happen or the outcome of Jeanne ark wasn’t captured and put to death. That she continued to fight for the French. If memory serves me correctly she had a huge step in turning the tried of battles for the French.

In regards to Fiore compared to Rin in regards to balancing humanity and magus side, the difference is that Fiore is in a position of command, not just balancing between work and her life. The tough choices she would have to make as the clan head is not something she's particularly going to handle well and would eventually crack under pressure. I'm pretty sure that's SOMEWHERE in the material as the reason why that's her decision. Not that she's not capable, but the fact in the long run it would wreck her one way or another.

also a small detail but Sieg stabbed Karna with Astolfo's sword not Balmong. Sieg used Balmong as a distraction to have Karna come closer without knowing so he can get the killing blow

Mmm I have to say that this was a really fun and really interestingly fun watch. I did kind of agree with you about Fiore giving up being a mage. To me it felt more like they were saying they had no confidence in her being a mage and such and was more just Japanese sexism in that a woman should not be the one to lead such a noble house and such. Ugh...that made more annoyed than anything else. I really do now want to read the Light novels just to see how much more got left out of the anime.

I don't understand how the fight between Sieg and Karna is the least like part? It's easily one of the best fight scenes in the whole of Fate.

I would love to see a video on the Einzberns, for some reason they're what I understand the least in the Fate world. They made the Holy Grail to regain the 3rd magic, but if they at some point had it, shouldn't that mage be a materialized soul that lives on, thus keeping the secret to performing it alive? Also, how exactly did they create the Greater Grail, if it's supposed to be using a bit of the 3rd magic to materialize heroic spirits? And also, why was Illyasviel a master if she cannot function as a human once she absorbes enough servants? And why is a lesser grail needed if in Apocrypha they seem to just be fighting for the Greater Grail itself? Also Justeaze was considered the only successful Justeaze-type homunculus, so how do they plan on making a new Greater Grail if Justeaze was considered a miracle (also why was she able to perform the 3rd magic?) And why was she family head if she was made to be sacrificed for the Heaven's Feel ritual? Finally what happened to the human Einzberns? The wiki page for Justacheit mentions them kinda, but like where did this info come from? IDK they confuse me but interest me a lot.

People may hate sieg but I find him to be awesome and I'm glad for him and Jeanne to be together p.s. dai kun your narrating is spot-on as always lol

I dont have a problem with Sieg beating Karna, but, I DO have a problem with the fact that Karna accepts the fight. I know it would play into the Lancer meme if he died a bitter death, but given what Karna stands for, he should have been pissed with Astolfo jumping in a ruining things. As far as Karna is written, this is pretty much the only bad writing i think he gets

Whilst I loved your accounts of all lore of fate - it’s really zen; fate apocrypha lore seems a bit rushed. While yes, there is much to cover - it seems not so much covered or in depth as you did in Garden of Sinners and Fate/lore But I do look forward to your next Fate lore video!!!!

hey can anyone explain the moment where waver/el-meloi II looks at a piece of iskandars mantle? how does he even have that if the events of fate/zero never happened in this timeline?

So after the conclusion of this timeline, would the counter force try to neutralize Astolpho? What happens with the Einsberns' attempt to gain access to the third magic since they have no access to the greater Grail? Does Archer Shiro end up becoming a servant in this timeline? It's late at night when I'm typing this so there are probably more questions I missed.

Shirou was just completely wrong. Yes we all long to go home, but not at the cost of our humanity. Life is both a gift and a test. He had no right to do that, even if it was for the best of intentions.

I think your 4 videos were soooo much better than the anime. The novel explains quite a lot of events very well, which makes the anime a little bit lacking. Shishigo and Mordred were the best characters of the series and heavily underutilized. As a concept and as an idea, Fate/Apocrypha is a masterpiece with so many interesting and developed characters/relationships. However, the execution of the story was silly or to a point childish. So much potential, so little courage to live up to it!

While I was certain this wouldn't change my rating of the anime itself, seeing how A-1 was... Well, A-1, with its adaptation, actually did improve Apocrypha a bit in my eyes. In particular the details about Jeanne's borrowed body and all the embarassing shenanigans she and Sieg go through. Also his link with the other humunculi and overall fleshing out of his character, which does make a LOT of sense considering A-1 tends to make their protags as bland as humanly possible. I was kinda dissapointed the ending didn't a better explanation or justification regarding the whole Reverse Side of the BS, but it's not like the ending was my biggest gripe with this series to begin with.

Jeanne going to the reverse world is straight bullshit. I hate how typemoon just says "It was impossible but they some how pulled a miracle". Same with shirou in avalon smh.

There is one thing of difference to note between Rin and Fionne. Their caretakers. Tokiomi is oblivious elitist jackass who at the end of the day genuinely cared about his wife and children. Darnic was a cartoonish supervillain who only saw his grandchildren as puppets, his dog as an example and the only thing that makes him less of a villain than Shiro is that he is less ambitious. Caules wanted to leave the magus lifestyle but Grail-kun was a dick and stuffed him with command seals and he is only a mage to honor Berserker's legacy and to protect his sister. The only reason why Fionne wanted the grail was because she wanted to walk without losing her admittedly super cool doc-ock tentacle arms. And when you have ass kicking mystic codes like that you too would kill too keep them be honest. That's it she never wanted to practice the craft or anything like Rin or honor Grand Magus Uncle Grandpa. She just wanted tentacle arms and horse dick. And now that she lost both there's nothing holding her from just getting rehab like any old muggle.

I do hope we get another story with a Great Grail War. Just like Zero was awesome for showing a proper War conducted from beginning to end, I'd like to see a story show a GG War in its entirety without having a cardboard dragon cutout derail it halfway through

Yeah...the only thing I liked about this series were the heroic spirits, at least I got the original vn, zero, GO, and Strange Fake to keep me busy, as well as the other Nasuverse entries.
