You can literally google this now. Zera in Hebrew means seeds. Hemla in Hebrew means compassion, pity, mercy. So Zerahemlah means the place of sharing of seeds, or in other words the city of compassion. Joseph Smith could not have plagiarized this film the Bible.

It’s uncanny how an additional civilization who believed these concepts were those who built the so called “Serpant Mound” in Ohio. Which is about a seven day walk east of Adam Ondi Ahman for a person about eight feet tall. What does that mean? Probably that these ideas of bountiful, bees and seeds were believed in more than one place. According to the forest service lecturer the inhabitants brought seeds to the mound and they would germinate and produce fruit in an amazing rate. It’s all very interesting

This is cool. I have been thinking about this the last couple of days how the book of Mormon is basically the plan of salvation played out several times in several different ways, as well as a history of earth, which is also a type and shadow of the plan of salvation. Knowing that bountiful is equivalent to Eden makes a lot of sense and fills in a lot of gaps for me.

Yo MIKE DAY! what's cool about Aristotle knowing about honey bees and order and the temple, is Margaret Barker talks about how Pythagoras also knew about the temple mysteries, and he was born 200 years before Aristotle. I have no doubt that some of the temple mysteries were passed onto others of different cultures. Just fascinating stuff.

Also at Bountiful/Dhofar region was the only place on Earth where the frankincense tree (Boswellia sacra) grew, only in isolated groves beyond the Dhofar mountains. Used in every Israelite temple. Today produces the best grades of frankincense. Myrrh comes from there too. The Deuteronomists "put down" all Melchizedek Priests that had no ties to Aaron. The former priests of the destroyed royal shrines would fight alongside the Chaldeans for Babylon, then King Nebuchadnezzar dismissed the priests to dwell in Arabia, "among the Ishmaelites" (b. Talmud). The 3 Magi (the generic term for foreign priests, coming from the Persian word for the priests of Media (Medians = Megians = Magicians)) from the "East" (Arabia, called the "East country") with frankincense and myrrh looking for the new king, with all things needed to anoint a new Melchizedek King Priest. The Oil of Life is a synthetic oil of the Tree of Life, made of olive oil and myrrh, used to anoint priests and kings, and was in the Ark when lost. The Jews simply returned from Babylon after 75 years, anointed priests with "many garments". No messiahs (anointed ones) in Israel for 490 years til Jesus was anoint (THEE) Messiah (of prophesy). The return of Melchizedek royal priests, christs, Christians.

@KnuttyEntertainment

The idea comes from Middle East conceptions of the world. They thought the earth was flat and floating on an ocean of chaos. The sky was a dome, and above the dome is more ocean, that’s where rain comes from. So the earth is in a big diver’s helmet. That’s why in genesis it says God separated the waters from the waters. So the flood story in the Bible isn’t just bad weather, he’s undoing creation and breaking the divers helmet causing the water flood in from all directions.
@brianbacon3106

@@KnuttyEntertainmentexcellent point. Dean Sessions did an enormous periodical search of all existing studies and found there is a large corpus of research that has gone ignored because it doesn’t support a lava core in the earth. It’s a very compelling hypothesis as the research is not LDS or church sponsored University studies. In other words there is science to support Carson’s notion he derived from the biblical text

We know a lot about the interior of the earth even without drilling it. We know the size of the earth and the gravitational pull. Therefore, we know the density of the earth. Water wouldn't have enough density to account for the Earth's gravitational pull.
@KnuttyEntertainment
@KnuttyEntertainment 2 месяца назад
There is a small layer of ground water, but it’s close to the surface. That’s why if you want to dig a well you can dig just about anywhere and if you dig deep enough you’ll eventually hit water. The Mesopotamians knew this so they conceptualized the earth as a flat disk floating on an ocean, which is how it’s described in genesis.
@kevinferrin5695

They have discovered that there is a certain kind of rock within the earth that is full of water in a certain pressurized form that keeps it in a dense crystal form. There is enough water in the rock of the earth to cover the earth if it were let out.
@dhr161
@dhr161 2 месяца назад
It's true that from the size and gravitational pull that you can figure earth's density, and it's true that it's heavier than solely water. However, that doesn't mean that there isn't a lot of water inside the earth.

Brilliant old testaments sharks, I was challenged with this, any insights would be appreciated. Apparently it is thought that Isaiah is more then one person?DEUTERO-ISAIAH Problem (as it relates to the Book of Mormon), Isaiah chapters: Ch. 1-39 1st/Proto-Isaiah, in Jerusalem, Nephi left with brass plates, author believe Israel can’t be conquered Ch. 40-55 2nd/Deutero-Isaiah, 587bc captivity/exiled to Babylon, anyonymous author, Ch. 56-66 3rd/Trito-Isaiah , back in Jerusalem, another anonymous author. Scholarly consensus is that Isaiah chapters 40-46 were not written by 8th century Isaiah son of Amoz, but were written by others after the Jews were “destroyed around 587BC just after Lehi left town with the brass plates. Therefore, Nephi could have only had chapters 1-39, but problematically he quotes deuteron-Isaiah chapters which had not yet been written from his brass plates into the Book of Mormon. He quotes it in King James Version style and includes KJV errors
@talkingscripture
@talkingscripture 2 месяца назад
It’s complicated, but know that not all of Deutero-Isaiah is in the BOM, and none of Trito Isaiah is. As of today, I have some general ideas, but am not prepared to share them as they need refining at this point and time. I will say that Deutero-Isaiah is enacting the festal drama, which is important. See John Eaton, “The Festal Drama in Deutero-Isaiah,” London, SPCK, 1979. This matters, because the festal drama is first temple liturgy. You’d have to read the book to know what I’m (Mike Day) talking about. But know that the argument is not as cut and dry as critics of the BOM always state.
