During the film I thought directly. This ship and this cast is great. I'd like to see more of it. Well, that didn't work out so well😅. A great story, outstanding actors, you can see that a lot of fan love went into the film. For me personally, a little Diamond. Many thanks to everyone who was involved in the film!🎉

The VFX are incredible. Looks just like watching the HD remasters of the Original Series. The story itself is great, I just wish it was actually full episode length so we could get a little more from the characters. The guy playing the Romulan Commander is a standout. He has that 60’s Trek villain vibe down. Great casting and acting there. Some of the other acting is uneven, but given that it’s a fan film that is to be expected to a degree. Kudos to all involved.

About this particular Starfleet secret, How would Starfleet keep this kind of a secret? We are talking about the remaining families and friends of 400 officers & crew of the USS Cherokee that has been deleted, from Starfleet records. How would Starfleet keep all of those remaining people of the officers & crew silent? We are talking about having thousands of people who will obviously notice their family member or friend that has vanished from existence along with their last known posting, namely the USS Cherokee. Somebody is bound to ask some hard questions. Starfleet cannot just submit a statement that the USS Cherokee never existed, too many people would know of that ship. As for the rest of the story, well written and executed, in other words, well done to all.
@DavidNicholson101
@DavidNicholson101 8 месяцев назад
@@superboats2 I’m sure Star Fleet has contingency plans for that sort of thing. After all, what about the Discovery being kept top secret? I’m sure they had families on board.
@superboats2
@superboats2 8 месяцев назад
@@DavidNicholson101 If you are referring to the spore drive, yes, the entire crew would be sworn to secrecy, it's not quite the same as an entire starship & crew being not only lost, but deleted from the Starfleet registry and archives. It would be simpler just to file the starship as lost with all hands in space. I'm sure that that sort of thing happens from time to time. Deleting the starship including all hands just raises more questions from all involved and/or affected. This is from a retired US Navy sailor's perspective.

I'll have to think about this one. While I do, I say the production was superb. The story was well executed. And the acting? What can I say? In this current age of underacting and blaahhh performances in so many movies and shows, I found the performances of these folks very, very refreshing. I've never heard of these actors. I don't know the characters. But despite that, they had my total attention. That means they did their jobs well.

Hey, that was pretty darn good! Cast did a great job, too. Gotta point out, though, no military would have a single field officer holding so much information about the defenses of his nation/planet/federation. Tragic but also heroic; it's definitely established canon that the Federation has had its share of covert-never-happened missions and "incidents". One minor nitpick: if the crew's families were told they all died in a training exercise, how could the Cherokee have "never existed"?

A load of Trek fan films have popped up on my RU-vid feed of late and have been of middling quality, so this was a very welcome upgrade. Good acting (apart from the pantomime Klingons) and a script which sounds like it’s been written and rewritten until it sounds right. Often fan films have their characters speaking in long monologues of boring and unnecessary words, but this one is on point. Good direction too from Vic. Well done all round
