Kung fu panda world was surprisingly fun when it was running. I remember you could challenge others to fights, decorate your own home (which had ladders for multiple stories) amoung other various mini games and story quest. I really wish there was more information available about it
Does anyone else remember the horse game Bella Sara?? There was an RPG part of that website where you could like explore the world and I used to love playing that I wish I could do it again
It's embarrassing how much Bearville, McWorld, Zwinky, and Pixie Hollow took over my life. My parents must have been annoyed with all the premium memberships I asked for. I still reference the Bearville bathtub song to this day.

I miss Ourworld 😭 there wasnt even that much to it, but i was on for hours, i still remember usernames of players that became my friends. I know for sure i was too young to think about taking screenshots of anything 😭 thanks for all the fish, Ourworlders ❤
I played girlsense! I remember learning to take full advantage of the website allowing users to add tons of buttons/decorations to custom clothing items. iirc you could size down buttons to make them very small and use a bunch of them to create silhouettes and clothing items that the game didn't have naturally. My most popular items in my shop were fashion corsets, with me using those tiny buttons to basically make completely custom patterns and "embroidery" on them, generally shaping the entire thing out of the tiny buttons after cropping the entire top I based them off out of existence. I think at some point I also had the idea of using those buttons to make small plushies/knockoff furbies, but they were very rudimentary because I was very young at the time lol, and I don't remember if anyone ever bought them. But I'm pretty sure girlsense had a lot to do with why outfits and fashion play a huge role in my writing and worldbuilding to this day, and why I love designing outfits for characters. I'm kind of surprised by how many things on this iceberg I'm actually familiar with... I guess I've been chronically online for a lot longer than I thought lmao
3:29 i actually still have one of the toys that had the codes for LPS online with it,, i have the ladybug plush toy specifically and it's in surprisingly good condition after all these years
YESSSSSSSSS TAMATOWN!!!!! i was on there daily back when v4 tamagotchi came out. I still have some working v4 tamagotchi and i believe there are code lists out there for the tamatown items.... The only thing is, they're nickname dependent. The ones i've seen only work if your player nickname in your physical tamagotchi toy is "ABCD"

Build-a-bearville brings back memories! I’d LOVE to see a feature on Faunasphere at some point- that was a virtual world that IMO genuinely had a really creative concept behind it, with genetics/breeding mechanics to breed fauna to restore a polluted world. It was also heavily played by old women which made it a genuinely safe and nice community to play as a kid, completely by accident 😂
See a few people mentioning the MMO Migoland, I always have really bad memories of that game, as it was previously known as "SpineWorld" that had a much cooler steampunk fantasy asethetic that I adored, but at some point they rebranded it as a generic "teen" MMO reusing certain assets. I remember feeling really burned by that :') Despite that, was nice to see people talking about it :)
MCWORLD MY LOVE- I will always remember playing minigames and getting keys in the tutorial. Also, you could buy pets like you saw in your video with the barn and the trampoline. You’d get the pet as an egg and the more you did in the world, the quicker it would hatch. I loved it.

oh man i played the Kung Fu Panda MMO for like 10 mins when i was young on a Windows XP. the only thing I remember is I was a tiger and some other tiger kept doing emotes at me, I didn't reply since the game barely ran and they got mad at me and left another obscure virtual world i remember playing for a bit was the Bakugan MMO! the only thing i remember from it is that you had the ability to enter a code from the real life Bakugan you bought and then enter said code to receive the Bakugan in game.
Does anyone remember the game Ameba Pico? This was literally my life from 2010-2012. It was hands down my favorite virtual world but I feel like NO ONE remembers it.
I haven't finished the video yet but I remember being so excited for Lego Universe as a kid! I was part of the Lego magazine club at the time, and I remember a video ad at the physical Lego store as well. Unfortunately by the time I had a working family computer and the money to buy the game it was shut down iirc.
I remember feeling so cool having the High School Musical Gabriella dress in VMK. I've never actually met anyone since it closed who actually played it, which makes me a little sad. (It's also a central plot device in a REALLY bad Disney book series called Kingdom Keepers.)

Kung Fu Panda World I DEFINITELY remember playing, even if my memory is really trash when it comes to stuff like this I do have a vivid memory of me playing a game like this but even then it was only one little singular bit, I loved playing that game since I was obsessed with kung fu panda
as someone who was a huge superwholock fan at its peak, i am shocked that the doctor who MMO was such a failure. i would've played the shit out of that!
