The original 64-bit is based on the old XP code base 5.1. The newer Pro x64 is based on the Server 2003 code base 5.2 - a lot more secure than the old XP.

Now if only someone can make an Itanium emulator by using all documentation available as references thanks to Intel no longer developing new IA-64 processors. Might also be useful to use the Itanium versions of Visual Studio and WinDebug as references as well.
