i played this in arcade when i am a kid of 5 years old , lol , i feel better what if good i complete the game i am not the only one what this game was complecated to , jajajaj , cheers from argentina , n.n
Seriously! As a kid I could never beat the Deinosuchus boss because of how fast it came at you, it was too fast for me and put me in way too much stress!
You know what's more brutal about it? When you're aiming, there is no crosshair at all. So you won't be able to know what you're aiming at until you hit it. But that's in the arcade version
So let me get this straight, you steal a baby t-rex, to bring it to your RV and fix a sprained leg. Shortly thereafter, you proceed to murder his mother and father.
I want a survival horror Jurassic Park game, set up like Alien Isolation, in a sandbox farcry setting. Where you have weapons and safehouses, and you have to fight not only dinosaurs but also hide from packs of raptors that are constantly hunting you and you cant kill them. Same with a T-rex that roams the whole of the island. Where you have to be smart and know when it's okay to venture outside due to weather hazards, heavy rains, flash floods. Maybe add a listening perk so you can hear dinosaurs in the dense foliage of the jungles, and use herbivores to your advantage to hide from predators. That would be fun, and scary!
as +crayonkiler says, that exits and it is called Dino Crisis. It was released in 1999 and it was created due to Shinji Mikami liked the first movie a lot.
I remember playing this game with my dad in the arcade so many times. I a,ways felt a lil scared lmao. Good times. Bpnever got far tho i got my ass kicked
I didn't notice that as a kid, but yea, now that I've read the books you're definitely right. Glad that's also getting used for Jurassic World with the new hybrid dino.
Carnotaurus in the book was also a lot more like a real-life octopus than a chameleon, I think. Chameleons have very limited camouflage abilities, while Carnotaurus in the book was so quick with the camo that flashlights left trails on its skin, LOL
This was the one where you sat in the jeep thing right? With the curtains? Such a cool design! If I were ever to actually buy an arcade cabinet, I would buy this one. Well, this or Time Crisis 3, or Area 51. Hmm...
Elliot Fais Or better, when the final Rex goes away, then breaks through a house that is even further away from you than it (Rex) was before haha I love the game though.
6:15 what did i just see? was that a brontosaurus taking a shit, and the player shot dem in da asshole? *looks away* im not looking again *looks and sees it* OH THATS WHAT IT WAS OHHH THATS IT ITS OVER!
InGen needed electricity for the enclosures of the fences so the dinosaurs couldn't break into the most important places. The aviary has an old fence that was used from the windmills, it had electricity until hurricane Clarissa had hit the island and all the places that were most important to InGen's research.
I remember the arcade version with a special player seat (a buggy to make u feel like a hunter). It was also next to this Afterburner game that also had a special seat...a 360 degree ball that put u upside down to feel the G-force (sorta). They don't invest in 'em like that anymore!
12:58 I always felt sort of bad for locking the dinosaurs in there. Now they will be trapped in there until they get so hungry that they eat each other and the last one left standing will die of loneliness.
When I was little, I had the baby sitter from hell who made (not let -- FORCED) me to watch Jurassic Park when I was 3 even though the T-Rex scenes scared the shit out of me, scarring me for life and giving me a T-Rex phobia for the rest of my childhood. When I found this game at an Arcade, it freaked the shit out of me because I thought if dinosaurs ever invaded, we would all die because even the people in the game (who I thought were professional bad asses, not researchers with dart guns) never had a chance in hell. I mean hell, there IS NO God if you can't outrun a Tyrannosaurs Rex in a freaking car. ....Then, The Lost World of Jurassic Park came out, and I ended up watching that -- I swear, it was hell on Earth because it was like seeing my worst fears realized. From then on for like a year after that, I couldn't sleep without thinking I'd wake up to a giant bloodshot dinosaur eyeball staring at me through my window, looking for edibles inside. This video rocks; the game brings back so many funny memories, because I found myself still cringing during the T-Rex boss fights, especially the one with the Male at the end. XD
Holy shit, i remenber this when i was kid, this game was on the arcades site and it was really really scary because you need to enter in something like a big car with loud speakers everywhere :(
It's unlikely since they already used the "Jurassic Park" gimmick for Carnotaurus from the 1995 sequel novel (chameleon-like camouflage) for the I-Rex in "Jurassic World"... can't see them including it without that
It’s amazing how the emulation of this game got stronger over the years. And now, some graphic details fixed, music now at a normal speed like in the actual game!
I remember always getting super excited whenever I walked into any old arcade and would hear 0:13 blast out of nowhere, way back when I was a little girl. *Good times, gooooood times*. :3
Troll Hunter Tylei me too when i was a little boy i used to get overully excited when i seen it and i remember when it first came out my childhood friend at the time and i was huge fans over when the movie first came out we played it the same night and when we seperated after 9 years later we reunited playing this game as we were kids and we were couins again i will never forget bringing our childhood back again this still will always be my fav movie after 20 years 1997 bring back the 90s
Yep, it was totally necessary to put your PC's specs in the description. Because you know, you totally need a gaming PC with really good specs to play a 1997 arcade game.
Hello everyone, I just wanted to mention that I have another Sega Arcade Playthrough of The Ocean Hunter. Check out the video and do what you all do best, enjoy: The Ocean Hunter Arcade Game - Full Playthrough (Sega Arcade Classic)
Hi, I want to know if you have another link to download The Lost World: Jurassic Park Arcade Game. Thank a lot! Regards (the other links in the video don't work)
Man this arcade is very short, the way you have no choice to get hit its just a way for them to make you use your money to keep paying to play the game, and the difficultie
its awesome that carnotaurus looks like that if it culd have been in the movie then that will be so cool i knew carnotaurus is cool thats why its my fave dino
Thanks for putting your specs up. Its super annoying when people put up gameplay videos and they leave it up in the air what they're using to play it on.
I wish they could add that chameleon carnotaurus in a game or movie as a big boss fight fast agile smart but relies allot on chameleon DNA so is constantly slow in close quarters and i wish he could be in packs so even tougher than one and i wish that the carno got to face big game and also bigger predators than himself and give them two designs one with a strong neck that can take multiple beatings of car rams ect and so they may be a secret project revealed broken down and then everything goes wrong.
***** LOL nope. T-rex's skull was not harder than a diamond. How do I know? Diamond is the hardest known natural material on earth. No form of bone even comes close.
Jessie E well these aren't actually dinosaurs, DNA can't survive 65 million years so Hammond used a system similar to crispr(look it up) to alter DNA and create "dinosaurs"
8:28 I get the point of that shot is to establish the deinosuchus' presence in the game, but think of the implications that the raptor was jumping _out_ of the boat. Either that thing just hangs around in the boat all day waiting for people to drive by, or _velociraptors learned how to captain boats,_ in which case we are all royally screwed.
Yeah, someone liked the camouflaging carnotaurus from the Crichton novel "The Lost World" so they just applied the idea to the I-Rex in "Jurassic World" since the carnotaurus never made it into the movie version of "Lost World"
That chameleon-type dinosaur ur talking about is a Carnotaurus that is based off the one from the novel where there is a Carnotaurus-hybrid that had the power to camoflauge. Same with the Indominus Rex u were talking about.
Thanks for posting this dude! I spent hours playing this game as a kid in the arcade! It's too bad we never got a deinosuchus in the movies but at least we'll be getting a mososaur in Jurassic World.
I remember getting the code wrong a few times. If I remember correctly, the raptors get loose and you basically had to run for them, all while trying to shoot the code pads to keep the door open. If you don't succeed, you've reached a dead end and have to fight them.
Ah, memories. Back when I was a little girl, I loved this arcade game!! I used to just sit in the seat pretending I was in the jeep. XD The T Rex and the little acid spitting dinos scared the crap out of me though so I never played it... :'( Great game, deserves a remake. :)
This is one of my favorite arcade games of all time!! I used to drop thousands of quarters during lunch break at my elementary school. I would love to see Sega's M2 do an HD re-release of this.
This is a blast to watch! I have a question though - is there a game in this style in the Aliens universe? Would be insane to have a House of the Dead style game with xenomorphs, can you imagine the jeep t rex scene with the queen alien instead? Very scary.
5 year old me:Man those older girls are so scared of a bunch of Dino’s 5 year old me when I play the game:WOAH HEHY HEYY HEHEY DAD DAD DAD I DONT WANNA DIE
