John Hammond (Richard Attenborough) summons chaos theorist Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) to his home with some startling information -- while nearly everything at his Jurassic Park had been destroyed, his engineers happened to have a second site, where other dinosaurs were kept in hiding. It seems the dinosaurs on the second island are alive and well and even breeding; and Hammond wants Malcolm to observe and document the reptiles before Hammond's financiers can get to them.

Man if we get scenes like these in dominion I'll be so happy. The lost world had so many iconic moments and some goofy ones sure. But we didn't deserve it we didn't even need it but they gave it to us anyway and I will always be grateful.

if you watch from 00:42 onwards and look at the T-rex's feet, you'll see a worker who drops down and plays dead. 23 years of the lost world and I only saw this recently. Also, luckiest guy in the franchise imo.

The reason not to shoot would be the murder charge the guard would be slapped with if he shot Ian Malcolm. Ian was a famous public figure in the films. It wasn't the police either, they were private security guards for the facility.

I think this because of 2 reason: 1.The movie has more animatronics and was a mix of CGI and animatronics as the first JW movie 2.The movie has more night scene as the first JW movie. CGI looks better in night scenes as by day scenes.

You have to admire the tiny details. When the T-Rex bursts out of the hatch, there's dust and dirt flying off the covers. When the people run away, @00:44, one of the officers trips, falls, and rolls into the water. His buddy beside him also falls, but stays on the pier. He curls up into a ball and the T-Rex steps over him. @2:50 the T-Rex is dribbling an imaginary ball while crossing the court. You can also see the T-Rex's reflection in the pool water.

Interesting thing to point out. The first harbor patrol officer/security officer, around 1 minute in, while running away from the Buck Rex started limping before the dinosaur came into the shot and still tried to run like hell. Most like he pulled a ham string, or worst-case scenario (and I'm hoping it wasn't), snapped his Achillies tendent. That goes to show you how some actors really wanted movies to be convincing back in those days.

Good sequel. The whole series is fun. If you can keep 'Hollywierd hot shots who don't know anything playing scientists who think they know everything; from annoying you then the Jurassic Park/World series can be very entertaining.

In The Lost World Jurassic Park movie The Tyrannosaur Buck was the only dinosaur shipped to San Diego and not the other dinosaurs including Pachycephalosaurus,Stegosaurus,Triceratops,Compies,Parasaurolophus,Gallimimus,baby Triceratops and baby Stegosaurus
