I can't believe how tall he was!! I I've seen pictures of him for years but never standing next to other people. I saw him standing next to Spielberg and I know Spielberg isn't the tallest guy he's probably like 5'7 or 5/8 but Michael Crichton was like 6 ft 10. He looked like a professional wrestler compared to all the other people in the photo I saw
Love this series, but has anyone noticed how unthreatening the velociraptors seem in this one, compared to the first book? I mean in the first book they were damn near more intelligent than the humans ( taunting Ellie in order to keep them distracted, opening doors, ect) how in the heck did Levine manage to out run and climb a tree when they were after him? Not to mention they were able to jump 10ft into the air on the first book. On top of this, on the first book they were unrelenting to the chase on the first, there is no way they wouldn’t have hid in a nearby bush, and got him as soon as he climbed down.
The raptors leave the area in the morning because of other carnivorous dinosaur territories which alternate on a day night cycle. It’s explained later in the book I believe. The two carnotaurus’ are feared by even the T rex I believe. I get what you’re saying though. They have certainly been nerfed a bit in this book.
He's smug and pissed off because everything he said would happen did happen, and as a result, he was left crippled and several people died. On top of that, he wasn't even allowed to talk about what he'd seen due to NDAs.
