I’m happy with this. Even if it doesn’t perfectly capture the tone, it makes me happy to know that people at Disney haven’t completely forgotten about the little car. Plus, it focuses on the more mature aspects of the film, because let’s be honest, it’s a more mature film than most other family movies

I read somewhere once that the bug used for the racing scenes had a Porsche engine, a roll cage and four wheel disk brakes plus modified suspension. While still maintaining a stock Bug appearance, the car was a true "sleeper" and supposedly could keep pace with a Porsche 911.

Disney as a huge herbie fan, a car enthusiast and, an owner of a 73 Volkswagen super beetle, please consider making more herbie content. I know in todays age it may not be a huge hit but I promise if you do it right herbie fans like myself will be more then grateful. Even if it’s a short lived Disney plus series or straight to Disney plus movie or something. It’s been almost 20 years since fully loaded and i think herbie could make a comeback at least one more time. 😊

Ah okay though I personally would not have used the word prequel to describe this movie. Any time I hear the word prequel it is for a series that had a movie out already like Star Wars, Annabelle, the new show that’s coming out for game a thrones. Where with this one I would use original or the first movie in a series.

That’s like saying Toy Story is a prequel to Toy Story 2-4. Herbie Fully Loaded is the sequel to this movie and its other sequels. A prequel is a sequel that takes place in the past.

Five theatrical movies, one TV movie, and one TV series. Herbie has had a release in every single decade from the 60s to the 00s. As the Cars franchise proves itself popular, I ask Disney why they are denying a new generation from having their own Herbie.
