Mmm every cat I have ever had has actually very quickly bonded to another cat or even dog brought in to the family. I think cats actually do like a friend to cuddle and play with. Cats are territorial. But if they enjoy the company of the other cat or dog, that seems to over ride that in every cat I have ever had. Right now I have 2 6 months old kittens and they are Sisters. Man are they close! They are so bonded together than if 1 leaves the room, within about 1 minute, the other 1 is crying wildly for the other who left the room. They literally become frantic searching for the other until they find her. Lol it is unreal. They cannot stand to ever be in separate rooms even. They do everything together. It is so cute and so heart warming.

I agree with you all zoo and rescues for wild animals have really small enclosures but you also have to think that these people are working with very limited money/funds and space for all the animals that they want to keep. Wild and exotic animals are very expensive to feed and take care of. The enclosures cost a lot as well so that there is no chance that the animal can escape. I looked up how much does it cost to feed a wild animal per day and the first thing it said was it costs $2,380 per day to feed a tiger. (4.5 lb) I’m not sure on other animals but that’s a lot of money per day to feed an animal.
