I like that Greg and Wart's reality is set in our past. It adds to the layers of nostalgia that the show works with. We as the viewer are watching their adventures in the Unknown, and seeing antique pieces of Americana and culture, only for us to see the Brothers' reality, and it too is a relic. It adds to the timelessness of the show, in a way.
Over the Garden Wall makes me sad in a good way, and I've always thought that to be beautiful. Tears that feel of tears of sadness form in my eyes while I'm having a joyous time watching this show, and that's always confused me. This show derives both depression and happiness in me at the exact same time in the form of one singular emotion, and that's always worried me. This show makes me feel so many things, yet it leaves me at a loss of coherent thought whenever I try to express my feelings. This show is unique in that way.
thank you viedo gaems, i often question why you receive such little views and subscribers. you deserve more; your content is great analysis and retrospectives, and is greatly appreciated. maybe make a scary halloween story about computer issues
Haven't watched this vid yet. But I gotta say, you should take individual episode recaps and analyses from your other videos and upload those to tiktok and/or yt shorts (similar, but different, to what TBSkyen does with his individual pokemon analyses). You would get a lot more engagement and it would bring a lot of viewers back to this channel, which is deserved because your content is really really good!
Loved this show when i first saw it and this video was great to hear and watch you're incredibly good at explaining stuff. Thank you for talking avout one of my favorite cartoons :)
This show formed my early years and my interests. This show is pure nostalgia to a simpler time to when I still lived in a whimsical world in my head. What an amazing show, im so glad you gave this show the light of day on your amazing channel. Cant wait for the bobs burgers video :)
I'm so glad that I found your channel, it's truly one of my newest faves and I'm always excited to see what you'll talk about next. Keep up the great work!
So excited to watch this! Been going through kind of a turbulent period in my life, (change in living situation, mental health junk etc.) and binging your videos has helped my mood substantially. You definitely have a knack for these kind of long-form video essays, and I really hope you keep making them
