Finally there was enough rain out West to fill up the Lower Nihutipu dam in Parau again. This lake is only a fraction of the total Auckland water storage but it is nearby and good to see that the lake is full.

Would be scary to be standing down there due to some situation lol. Dialing 112, telling them that you’re stuck in the spillway of that one dam with the funny shape, hoping the call operator gets it 😂
I think such reservoirs usually have such floating lines further upstream to warn boaters to stay away 🙂 Pretty sure it’s illegal to be there on the water anyway.
