Keeping Electrons Flowing. -.-.-.-.- Electrons are beautiful devices. When excited with enough potential, they yield in awesome colours, like Electric Blue, Arcing Violet, Copper Green, Liquid Glass Yellow, or Sodium Orange. Then the odd battery will pop or Capacitor Explodes.
I like older type electro-mechanical kWh meters, registers, and electric master clocks which have become a hobby out of control. Luckily my wife and kids are very tolerant about all these hoarding issues.
Enjoy playing vinyl records, and reel to reel tapes with tracks, which are not often heard off and should not be forgotten. ( I have stopped this unfortunately because of too many copyright issues ) It is nice to have other RU-vidrs enjoy some of the great features of the visible music like reel to reel and vinyl. If there is an issue with a music track please let me know and I will remove it from my channel.
Testing old - faulty electrical stuff to destruction occasionally. BLOWING UP STUFF IS FUN !!
The Home Depot store that they thought about taking shelter in was completely destroyed.. along with almost every building that they passed. They were in the path of the tornado TWICE and missed it by mere seconds. They are so lucky to be alive after being like a football fields length away from it.
If reincarnation is real.....just think with me for a minute.....what if 🤔 The jews that were in the gas chambers, came back as wasps, and well let's just let you finish the thought. 😢
This capacitor looks identical and failed identically to the one in an above-ground well jet pump I had recently fail. It appeared as if the centrifugal switch that disconnects the starting cap from the motor once it gets up to speed failed, causing the capacitor to be used all the time as a run capacitor and exceeded its duty cycle. Or maybe it was just a crappy capacitor, I put another old used one in its place and it blew in minutes as well.
@Martin-bm2yz Thanks for the hint. I had the same problem and I fixed it by pushing the magnetic wheel a little bit further inside. (Remove the red protection cap of the electronics board, the magnet should be some 2..3 mm more inside than the end of the moter shaft.)
This thing just seemed to appear out of nowhere because it was so heavily covered by rain...it was probably one of the fastest if not THE fastest wedge tornado to form too. Seemed like 2011 was infamous for tornadoes not looking to be there at first.
I thought I wanted to get trained to perform this work.. After doing more research & deep thinking, I was like maybe next lifetime. Kudos & much respect to everyone working in this field/ career. 💐💐
Nice Hotpoint / GEC 4 pole induction motor from a top loader, possibly marketed under a different brand over there? We still run a couple of those machines here, they go forever. These induction motors were made in the Peterborough, UK factory. Love your generator set up too, I have a Gardner powered 20kVA set in my workshop which can operate as a switched alternative to the mains, above say 6kVA total load it's actually cheaper than the grid.
Hi there, I'm an archive producer making a documentary about Joplin. I would like to licence some of your footage of the Joplin tornado. Let me know the best way to reach you. Best wishes Nia Campbell Archive Producer, Raw TV
