I have like 6 M1As from scav junk boxes. Never ran em before. Was using the TX15 on Lighthouse but I think I'll give this a try with the 50 rounders. Great video!
Love the m1a, easily my favorite weapon. As soon as you hit lvl 30, you can get them super cheap. I usually throw on a thunder beast, a specter, and rvg, an atp tube, and a omgr grip. Load with m80 and it’s a 2x0k banger.
Actually the RSASS is the lowest recoil 7.62x51 weapon in tarkov. Max reduction on both shoot them side by side the rsass is noticeably more controllable than the M1A. Its not a huge difference vertically but the horizontal recoil is an improvement. It's pretty close between the two.
@@TheMrPandabeast It's tames the recoil decently but your ergo gets flatlined, Trust me when I say that it aims like a brick and you better love prefire tactics.
Wdym? Like meta weapons are supposed to be difficult to reach, otherwise what would be the point of cheaper and poorer weapons? There are still a lot of really good and cheap weapons accesable for lower level players like AK-101, 5x45 AKs etc - these can be built really cheap and with near meta stats as soon as you have mechanic lvl3.
@@user-ki3yn6ef7e the point is there's clear gap between players, Nikita calls this "not for casuals", but in reality it means that gap between players who live their live in EFT (e.g. streamers Nikita obviously relies only on) and just play ~4 hours a day is monstrous. There's no feeling of progression to your character until you reach 40-ish level, and only real quality of your raid change you get is at level 15 (or 17, for Ragman LL2). You just can't invest different amount of money on different loadouts. It's either you get meta grip-muzzle brake-suppressor kit and holo with high tier ammo or you just go СБЭУ way and take naked SKS with PS ammo. 80% of modules are useless crap due to their price and availability (Alientech is laughably funny example of balancing BSG makes - a FIR rare muzzle break which can compete with suppressor kits? Nerf it into oblivion and make it -11% crap among other copypaste flash hiders you can optain from LL2 Mechanic/Skier. This will totally make this worthy pick per slot for late-raid scavs!). M1A and SR-25 were another fine examples of balancing gone wrong: they were all-around guns for every distance with price about 200-500k₽ to go meta build, comparable to M4/KH416A1 12.11 with ~20 recoil. What Nikita did in the end? Banned from flea both, made ARs unusable unless meta, disabled ability to get any good ammunition. In the end, while you wait for these 3 mags of M855A1 or holy 40 M80s you just decide to leave the game and play something else, cause you know that M855 and ТПЗ are not worthy to run unless it's cheapest SCAR-L or Vepr-101. Do I want to wait for two days to have one possibly good raid with ASh-12 and die to desync/cheater/bot with aimbot? No, thanks. I have places to be. It SHOULD've been this way: you craft different ammo on workbench, get your fair share of mags to last a raid, and while you wait, you play with ammo you already crafted/bought in limited quantity just living in inventory waiting for a timer to reset. In reality this only applies to players who invest stupidly high amount of time to play all these raids to compensate for lack of ammo you need and farm it/find good ammo for another gun/loot a guy who just died and strip his ammo. But if I play 4 hours a day, 8 raids, it's all becoming shitstorm playing safe to farm some mils₽ on scav to get a good gun and, if you're lucky, find some ammo. Then you get one PMC raid where you can actually compete and then you Alt+F4 the game as soon as you extract. Recent buff of MCX made it clear BSG doesn't understand why it's pickrate is still rock bottom: no good ammunition for it's price.

This is only after you kill 7 USECs (less than 40% players pick USECs), do hell lot of of his quests (6+1 successful raids on Beach, the map you spend 30-40 minutes on if you survive). M855? Good luck melting Lvl4 armor everyone uses since week two of wipe. 5.45: PP is avaliable from LL2 Prapor, sure. But proper AK-74 costs 100-150k, and with 36 pen it will greatly lower your chances to melt lvl4 armor in comparison even to M856A1. BP? Sure, go LL3 prapor and get it for 514₽ and 4x30mags per 3 hours (and this amount is merely enough for one good raid where you take a fight and don't flee). Of exchange on LL2in pack of 30s for 2 Clins, see how that's going to hurt your economy. 7.62: Want comparable damage to M856A1 with same pen? Use PS, but now only on LL2 prapor (scavs can give you some, I must say). But AK for the job will cost A LOT just to make recoil somewhat manageable. Or you can take SKS and mod it, which will cost you almost the same, but you will be better and recoil controll and lose full auto. Good enemy agains lvl4 armor guys with full-auto's M856A1 for sure! 12 gauge: Jaeger LL2 for legmeta Magnums or LL3 after bunch of schizo quests for Flechette. Or AP-20 you won't ever get. 20 gauge: lol 23x75: LL3 Prapor with 100k KS-23 legmeta, thanks no thanks. 9x18: Kedr legmeta, good for toe-to-toe CQB, but shreds your wallet due to price of SP7. 9x19: Good luck finding AP 6.3 (or PBP lol x2) or go legmeta with Vector… Oh, it's only on LL4 Skier after Vitamins Pt2! You can take MP5 then and pray your enemy will die of laughter and then fix his legs in a minute. .45: Good luck getting Vector for legmeta… Or melt with UMP's blunt damage of Match. 9x21: wait 9hrs on workbench to get 120 bullets for a gun shooting at 900RPM. Or wait almost whole day (not mentioning you'll have to launch Tarkov in 9 hours after first craft) to be somewhat good against Lvl4 armor. .357: LOL 4.6x30: watch 9x21 but now mags are 40k. 9x39: overheat after 2 mags, thanks no thanks. Also, GL getting not SP-5 in acceptable amounts and 20-30rounders for less than your kidney. .366: RECOIL .300 blk: either worse in all aspects than 7.62x39 PS or craft for a day to fire a gun with 800 RPM. 7.62x51: infamously nerfed. 7.62x54R: SVD 100k, snipers 40k + scope + you can't put up a fight in CQB. 12.7x55: AHAHAHAHAHAHA .338: AHAHAHAHAHAHA I heard gunshots of Mk18 once in a lifetime and AXMC twice in last two wipes.

4:52 Yeah, seriously. Why do people use the RK-2? it's just not worth it. You're not going to notice the difference in like 40 vs. 41 recoil on a gun, but you are going to notice you raping your ergo until you can't hold the gun for more than ten seconds and it takes a whole second to ADS. Stark and the tilt grip are better 99% of the time.
I've been building these guns all wipe. To all the people in the comments that want to hear some advice. The A.R.E buffer tubes, the black and red, the red buffertube is better then the black. It has to extra stats too it that add bullet velocity and gun accuracy
i still feel like the rsass just feels alot better, but as you said its a pain once youve burnt it to 92% dura might as well throw it away - and at 1200 usd a pop that is a pain
M1A is bad here is why: 1) the only really playable build - M1A from Mechanic or M1A with SSAS chassis. Cause stock M1A useless at all, Archangel useless also. Maybe EBR version is not bad but SSAS anyway much better 2) even you have good ergo on M1A with SSAS it's weight 7 or 8 kg so scoping will be very long like you have zero ergo. 3) SR-25 with good mods also has low recoil and have good ergo with low weight for 7.62 rifle 4) RSASS same as SR-25 and already has good mods like long barrel and handguard with PRS stock.
Can you do a Saiga 12 Meta build? That gun is so much fun but I don’t quite have level 4 traders and want to see what that would look like and play like
Video request - Was experimenting with the gp-25 kostor grenade launcher last night. Noone has build videos and the meta parts are different on different guns.
@@Gigabeef You are a smart guy, you know the recoil numbers across multiple platforms is NOT comparable. Fire groups on a wall back to back and see the difference. RSASS is noticeably lower recoil with both in minimum recoil configuration. The recoil numbers are not indicative of anything.
@@Gigabeef BTW i dont mean to come across as rude, we are splitting hairs here. The lowest true recoil is the RSASS and I guess thats due to hidden stats.
Gun durability is such a crock of shit in this game, I've put thousands of rounds through numerous rifles and handguns and the upkeep generally involves cleaning and oiling. No part of the action degrades unless rust or dirt is allowed to accumulate, and even if it does over several weeks or months, it wouldn't permanently damage a weapon to anywhere near the degree depicted in this game. Not even a double-digit percentage near. Overheating however, is much more of an issue for jams and ejections if you're firing for prolonged periods, but again, it's over-exaggerated in this.
Yeah it’s ridiculous. Using a brand new m4, you are basically guaranteed to jam before you have even fired 100 rounds. It’s annoying af. Plenty of guns hardly even need cleaning and oil.
