the more I watch and think about these choices, the more I think I'm actually going to choose the Friesland and then buy the Loyang. I think October is going to be an expensive month haha.
Loyang should be recognized that the Sonar is sick and amazing around islands. Its amazing... u can talk about smoke screen but in a practical way its even more advantageous more often with- land looks.. seeing around an island.
I went for both ships. Friesland for fun, Loyang for getting down to business. I've regularly taken down all kinds of DDs like gearings, klebers, fletchers, ZF-6s, etc.
Thanks for showcasing the Loyang and her commander. Probably gonna wind up getting both ships, but if money is tight I'll go with this one...got Swirski way back when Blyskawica first became available
The review seems very thorough. This ship might have an advantage in capturing caps, however if you are in a regular game with one base, it seems quite ordinary.
I have Swirsky and now I'm stuck in this dilemma of a campaign. Friesland is the ultimate Chad daka daka but Loyang just looks like such a good ship on paper, it won't outgun the Fletcher or LT ships but the utility is crazy. Plus the commander base trait looks solid and there is a chance to get early access to any new potential Pan Asian dd commanders and we don't know how good they'll be if or when they come out.
i think once pan asia sees dedicated commanders (equivalent to halsey etc), the ability - like Z35 - to stealth sonar in loyang is going to be a very powerful choice and tool, giving DDs more so sonar DDs more competition on a more personal note, i prefer utility and when compared to friesland, it certainly offers that. friesland i think is a lot more restrictive in what roles outside of a gunboat it can perform. i envision pan asia will follow the path italy did, in that it will have the default commander, give it a few months and we’ll see the dedicated which will only make it highly competitive.
Well dangit, Xarkun, after watching yesterday's video I was sold on the Friesland, but now I'm wondering if I should re-evaluate. I'm a big fan of contesting caps and taking out other destroyers, so I'm still leaning Friesland (plus I don't have Swirski), but the Loyang looks like a very solid tier-7 destroyer. I hope they make both ships available for Global XP sometime in the future.
The Friesland is good for contesting caps and other DDs too. In some cases. Just have to be careful because no torps to fall back on and the sonar on the Friesland isn’t god tier crazy
Naturally WG made both ships good...if it came down to choosing between a Wichita and an Azuma, for instance, they wouldn't tempt anyone to fork over the green...LOL
The Loyang is.... sorry but sooo damn Boring it is a Charles huges 2.0... not more woow a sonar thats all... i can drive a z23 what is better then Loyanf and has german sonar... sorry loyang is a charkes huges 2.0....
